The very best of luck to you, DD. I'm an RTS fan, and I admit to never trying Conquest: Frontier Wars. Is Conquest II a sequel that will require the original to play, when it comes out? If I spot Conquest: FW somewhere (on sale! ), I'll pick up a copy and give it a whirl. Hopefully, give you some mojo. And watch out for deers on Escarpment!
Congrats Man! I hope it works out for you. . . . I suspect it will Rocket RIver . .we have supreme confidence in you
Good for you man! That Johnny Whatever looks pretty interesting actually. Cool concept. Maybe you can make it compatible with the guitar hero controller? Probably not because you need to move the guy around. Maybe the Wii would be a good platform for it. Anyway, if you make games for 360 then I'll beta test it for free. =)
Good luck DaDa! Blood Bowl looks interesting, and I'm looking forward to Conquest 2. The original Conquest was a lot of fun. If all goes well, let me know if you need an extra developer.
Good Luck DaDa...Make a bunch of $$$!!! I'm still waiting for you to buy me that red and white Shelby GT500...
Good mojo heading your way. Good luck with your endeavors, I know we'll eventually have a quality game or two come from this.
Thanks guys, the meeting went GREAT !!!! It is looking like I will be launching sometime soon...hopefully December or January. King Cheetah, that is FUNNY !!! Deckard, send me an email, maybe I can get you a copy of the Original Conquest... Conquest 2 is a sequal that will stand on it's own and is about 75% done....it looks sweet....I am torn between placing it with a publisher and doing it on my own. More money for the team if we do it on our own....but I need a big 2nd deal to make it happen, which I may have, if I can close the darned thing. Anyway...thanks for the mojo.......it is helping !! DD
Congrats. And by the way, I happen to think the last great game was Missile Command... I wasted way too many quarters and hours on that during college. If you could come up with something as good as MC, you'd be a rich man.
DaDa - How did you get started in video game publishing? you are my hero p.s. pls make YAO MING: THE RPG
I started out in 1982 at Lee College in Baytown and designed a text based RPG game called Quintown. Then I gave up designing games for a few years and got a job back in gaming at Origin in the early 90s with Chris Roberts and Richard Garriot...worked on Wing Commanders, and a bit on other Origin games. Then left to start Digital Anvil and designed Starlander, and then left there when we sold to MS and did Conquest Frontier Wars at Fever Pitch Studios, and sold that to Warthog, and then sold Warthog to Gizmondo....and then after Gizmondo, I took a hiatus, and have started my new company just last week, and am looking for funding and a publisher....so far, it looks good. But, until the ink is dry....there is no guarantee !! I am nobody's hero, but I do LOVE making games, it is a rollar coaster for sure, but it is SOOOO worth it at the end of the day when you see your work on a store shelf..... DD
DD have game developers ever come up with a rollerball game for the home market? I think this would be a huge hit -- golden tee, missile command, etc...
