    Walker holds on.

Also as much as I dislike Scott Walker, recalls are idiotic.

    I couldn't agree more.

While I personally despise Walker, he was fairly elected. Live with the consequences Wisconsin, you get the government you deserve!

If he loses he will be fairly diselected.

I am afraid with all the Koch and big conservative money flowing in that Walker will pull through.

Walker reminds me so much of Wisconsin's other famous right winger--Joe McCarthy.

Recalls suck. They encourage legislators to play it safe with every vote because at any moment they can get thrown out. You should get a full term to implement your agenda and you shouldn't be at risk of losing even after you win.

I mean its easy to cheer for a Walker loss but look at the other side of the coin. In Iowa, the Supreme Court justices who had the courage to rule that same sex marriage should be legal got thrown out immediately with recalls. They paid a heavy price for being bold. That's not right.

Hell Gray Davis got booted out of California with a recall before everyone found out that Enron and other energy companies (and not the California government) were responsible for the energy crisis there. If there wasn't a recall system in place, he would have been vindicated when Enron collapsed. People turned misinformation about the energy grid into raw anger at a guy who had nothing to do with rolling blackouts.

I see your point, but don't see it as a clear case either way. It certainly pales in comparison to other procedural fuc*ups like 60 votes in the US senate to do anything or having guys like Adelman sp? spending over $10 million on gingrich's campaign and other blatant examples of money in politics. Certainly with unlimited elite cash in elections and recalls both the original election and the recall are problematic.

What about all the Soros and union money flowing in? Could it have had less effect because Wisconsin voters see the value of Walker's efforts to restore fiscal sanity?

Intrade has Walker winning valued at 92.4%. Money won't have anything to do with it, he's popular because of the success his policies have had.

Interesting graph of the money breakdown in the recall.

Walker wins by 5 or 6 is my personal prediction. Dems have to get turnout close to 70% to pull this off and as big as their ground game is, there isn't the same level of enthusiasm as 2008 to pull this off.

Interestingly to note, in all of the polls showing Scott Walker winning, Obama is also winning in all of them which suggests that a fair number of Walker supporters still support Obama. Kind of a weird quirk if you ask me.

And that you've kept it up for 10 years now is truly remarkable. Kudos!

    I remain optimistic.

But again, when you outspend your opponent 25 to 1 you better win or it's mighty embarrassing.

There are enough voters who don't like Walker but who also don't like the recall which might explain those numbers.
