Well will you look at that! They “found” just enough votes that a recount isn’t automatically enacted. What an amazing coincidence
Nate Silver says the numbers make sense. He is a fairly liberal fellow. http://twitter.com/fivethirtyeight/status/56114655239741440#
I'm shocked that some of the seemingly educated left-leaning posters on this board didn't see this coming. Even those of you who never studied political science and the history of dirty elections in the US in undergrad should be aware how rampant election fraud is (from the local to municipal to state to the national level), especially after the 2000 presidential elections.
liberals and their union sponsors threw everything they had into this race, nationalizing it, smearing their opponent, and still came up short, with a margin of victory outside the margin of fraud. i'm experiencing a profound sense of douchenfreude.
http://bcove.me/lysfd817 go to ~13:00 in the linked video, and watch the question to and answer by the democratic rep.
better Nate than lever. There are, of course, suggestions in some liberal-leaning blogs that Ms. Nickolaus (who has worked for Republicans in the past) is attempting to steal the election. But a look at the turnout estimates in Waukesha County, before and after the problem was corrected, suggest that her mistake was probably an honest one. The original turnout figure was somewhat lower than what might have been expected statistically, and the revised one is more in line with reasonable expectations.
yet had the votes gone the other way, no amount of tittie milk in the world would shut you up about how corrupt the democrats are.

indeed Dems to file huge amount of signatures to recall a fifth Wisconsin GOPer Dems will file a massive amount of signatures tomorrow to trigger a recall election against a fifth Wisconsin GOP state senator, I’m told. Graeme Zielinski, the spokesman for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, confirms to me that Democrats will submit approximately 30,000 signatures for the recall of Alberta Darling — nearly 150 percent of the 20,343 required. This is the fifth time Dems have collected far more signatures than necessary for a recall — all but ensuring that all five recall elections will actually happen. ...Dems need to net three recall elections in order to recapture the state senate, so the more elections they can force, the more this possibility is in play. The situation is very fluid right now, but as Chris Bowers games out, control of the state senate is now a toss up.
One point Duerkop and Zieleinski agreed on: It's going to be an interesting summer in Wisconsin politics. RECALL TARGETS Republicans: Robert Cowles, Green Bay; Alberta Darling, River Hills; Sheila Harsdorf,* River Falls; Luther Olsen,* Ripon; Randy Hopper,* Fond du Lac; Glenn Grothman, West Bend; Mary Lazich, New Berlin; Dan Kapanke,* La Crosse. Democrats: Lena Taylor Milwaukee; Spencer Coggs, Milwaukee; Jim Holperin, Conover; Mark Miller, Monona; Robert Wirch, Pleasant Prairie; Julie Lassa, Stevens Point; Fred Risser, Madison; Dave Hansen, Green Bay. The blade of political inacquiesce cuts both ways. . . Gotta love it! ...makes me want to fake doctors notes so I can sit back and watch the drama...who needs CSI or primetime T.V. ? or the NFL....sniff... http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/120324474.html
The deadline to submit recall petitions is May 2nd. At this time not one petition has been filed to recall a democrat. [edit] looks like republicans are having problems coming up with signatures. The Wisconsin Democratic Party is planning to file a complaint to the state Government Accountability Board alleging that a Republican signature-gatherer offered alcoholic beverages to a group of women to get them to sign a recall petition against a Democratic state senator.
I just heard on the radio that Kloppenburg is requesting a recount in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election.
Wisconsin Supreme court ruled in favor of the law. I would think this would mean an end to the legal battles. http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/123859034.html
