Teachers Unions aren't exactly my favorite thing, either... but how politically stupid is it to smash on the very bottom of the "middle class" (public workers) while flaunting supply-side partisanship?

This seems like the definition of class warfare.

Why is that relevant? It isn't that he gave tax cuts, he that he paid for tax cuts for businesses (not income taxes) by taking it out on working class public servants.

The unions didn't steal those benefits they bargained for and were granted them. Wisconsin didn't have a budget crisis until Gov. Walker gave those tax cuts. They actually had a budget surplus, but then he created the crisis with his tax cuts and took it out on public servants.

Well, and I know this will be hard to understand, but in an American context, Wisconsin is Egypt. It is people getting beyond being moderately content to make progress and create more justice that led to the society that you are living in and will be necessary to preserve your moderate contentment.

Wisconsin is a Democracy. Egypt is not (in fact this is what the Egyptians were protesting). Your comparison is way off base.

Why should employees doing the same job with the same level of experience (years/degrees) be paid differently? Either the job is completed successfully or it is not.

I don't know but state employees are often paid less but given better deals on their benefits.

This is relevant to understand why Walker has pushed for tax cuts while simultaneously complaining about the Wisconsin's deficit.

I'm not defending Walker's position or blaming unions, if you've noticed I have said several times I don't like the bill and don't support Walker. I am just giving some more background on why Wisconsin is in the situation it is in.

as someone who lives in wisconsin right now, the budget repair bill that walker is proposing is ridiculous. he not only wants to cut teacher benefits and TA benefits which are already being hit with furlough days, but is also trying to attack unions.

it's funny how the democrats walked out of the vote and then the state patrol who was ordered by the gov to retrieve them refused to do so because they too were protesting the governors decision

You can't compare anything to anything else on this board without someone jumping on your ass.

I wouldn't compare judoka's criticism to jumping on someone's ass. allen standford had his ass jumped on, what's happening to glynch is quite tame in comparison

I don't think that's the same thing at all! Stanford is a good 6 inches taller than glynch.
