Apparently you didn't even bother to find out. Partyvan is linked to 711chan, not 4chan. Also, 4chan opposes the DDOS attack (as does Project Clambake and several of the other anti-scientology sites out there) and they have banned all threads relating to it. They do support the effort to expose Scientology, publish their secret documents/videos etc. but don't support the DDOSing.

Apparently, you are correct. I posted before reading the whole thing. All these damn chans get me confused.

I do find this "war" highly amusing, especially the fax machine part.

All this reminds me of some kind of cyberpunk b-movie.

You say that like it's a bad thing. That's exactly why I'm paying attention to it.

    HACK THE PLANET!

One of my favorite movies, albeit cheesy. Featuring an up-and-coming actress Angelina something or other.

    Geeks vs. Freaks

Both with overly inflated senses of self importance fight a meaningless duel that serves little purpose for anyone.

    Awesome! ;)

I don't see how that case is relevant. The coroner ruled the death an "accident" and the criminal charges were dropped against the Church. A party that was truly guilty would have had to face jail time in the United States.

Don't worry the Church of Scientology will try to do just that, just as they do to anyone who dares to criticize them in public.

Not guilty, but somewhat responsible? I'm a little annoyed that the Scientologists in tow apparently convinced or assisted McPherson in convincing the hospital to forego psychiatric treatment; then claimed after the fact that Introspection Rundown treatment was a purely "religious practice." Sometimes, unfortunately, religious faith and mental illness just do not mix.

That doesn't mean most of the jokes and mocking aren't just thinly veiled religious bigotry, though.
