3, because it makes sense, and it is enough And the Rockets didn't tank for Sengun, they traded 2 mediocre picks to nab him, which had zero to do with how many games they won. There is nothing wrong with bottoming out for a couple seasons. As long as you have a clear direction and you commit / align what you are doing, its easy to avoid the losing mentality. But Stone is right, the next couple of years are "have fun" years.
Oh we're going to tank again if Green turns out to be a dud. Everything and anything must be done until we get the building block!
This is where I worry. Pop executes the game plan consistently they just miss shots. I don't know if Coach is really reaching these guys
Do you just said pops doesn't tank, but then agree he tanked for Duncan? I mean, why debate with you when you can't admit when you are wrong?
Wood isn't a stud but he is a good player. KP3 is still developing but looking like he will be a stud. Neither of those guys have peaked in my opinion and aren't going to carry a team to the 8th seed - not when you have so many other players who are just green, no pun intended. This isn't a year to win or get the 8th seed. Next year is.
I said he doesnt submerge himself in the tank, over multiple seasons. Other than Duncan hiw many other seasons has he tanked? Are you being purposefully obtuse or do you not NBA?
You keep changing your story here. "He never tanks! Well, he tanks only for one season but he never loses two seasons in a row! Oh, well he loses two seasons in a row but he doesn't tank! Oh, he doesn't tank two seasons in a row!" What' a effing fool you are.
LOL I didn't say Pop NEVER tanked, I said he did not use tanking over multiple seasons as his primary strategy. You are lying now because you cannot support the tanking for 3 or more seasons. That strategy does not produce champions. You still need to trade for All Star(s) and complementary vets. Having a roster TWO deep at every position with high draft picks has won NOTHING. That's the Sac Kings strategy because vets never want to sign and Kings never want to trade their picks/young players until they lose all their value and have to be rehabilitated by other teams. Sixers never became contenders until they started trading their picks and young players for proven vets.
i trust your judgement but lol this is what has been said about andrew wiggins and jabbari Parker...lololol they all look good on tapes... even that little guy isaah thomas torched the real NBA league while he was on celtics for one season tsk tsk tsk...
not impressed with KPJ at all, he has handles and great balance but cannot shoot, I rather take Simmons at the PG position
Lol, only Rockets fans view KPJr as some big asset Morey has been asking for a good player and multiple picks for Simmons…he wants to remain just as competitive if he trades Simmons now, or wait for some miracle like being able to trade for Beal or Lillard no matter how delusional that seems guys like EG and House are irrelevant, and KPJr doesn’t help u win games Can we just be realistic about what is on our team?
Doubt we got a say in this. Doubt the boys would win many games even with Eric Gordon having fun and playing games.
They don't have the quality of veterans to do much winning. And they have too many veterans to develop everyone. The worst thing they could do is lose AND short guys on development time. They have to get to 15 and it seems like they'll be cutting decent players to do so but they also aren't going to roll out 15 guys every game. Even with Wall (and probably Gordon) not playing they're throwing minutes away giving playing time to House. Theis. Augustin (nothing personal, he needs a veteran team that needs his point skills and could cover his defense). I don't believe it translates to wins but I want to see Brooks, Garuba, Christopher, Martin, hell I'd take Lamb over House at this point. Pretty much full bore youth movement. I'm ok with the veterans being Tate, Wood and Nwaba. I'm ok with another organic tank.
Way to early to say. He just looks really young but he definitely is athletic and has so much potential. You can see it even in his mistakes. Green is very raw and he needs a lot of time to develop - he's not going to be the instant star people make him out to be, but he's not going to be lou williams either. The guy is driven and hungry. He will get better. Kobe took a full year before he could contribute - he was terrible his rookie year and airballed shots and looked like a disaster. Green will get better with time. The goal of the Rockets this year should be - put the ball in the hands of Green and KPJ as much as possible.
Now will you please stfu and let the people who know something about what they are talking about discuss the Rockets?
