Windows 8.1, anyone using the preview?

    Been using it and loving it. Startup is like 10 seconds for me with my SSD and i7 3770K. No more junks installing all over the startup screen. Really like the LARGE icon resize to the smallest.

    I upgraded to 8.1 preview and kind of regret it after reading that the change over to 8.1 makes you install all of your software again and many settings are lost.

    No, he is saying he installed the 8.1 preview, and then wanted to install the 8.1 release. He's not talking about going from 7 to 8.
