After this many years in the league, he's a known commodity. If you want that, fine. I don't.

 

I wouldn't exactly say I wanted Ben freaking Simmons, but now that we completely failed to acquire a competent playmaking/shooting point guard at the trade deadline, we're down to the semi-competent buyout targets or the ones who are only competent at one of the two. At least Simmons would bring something Holiday doesn't, and they can probably play together come to think of it, since Simmons can guard bigger players.

Actually, if you think Amen is going to remain a starter--a Simmons/Holiday/Eason/Smith Jr or Brooks/Adams bench doesn't sound that bad come to think of it. There's some shooting there. Not enough, but some.
