    Exactly!

But CF keeps trying to fit square pegs into round holes to push the trade Wood agenda.

Does Rubio have a big of an ego as Wall? Wall wants to start.

Porter's still sitting. A shot in the dark but maybe he's part of an upcoming deal?
Of course, Green's still out too, but I doubt the Rockets would give him up.

Nah. He was pretty beaten up. His target return date is Dec. 27.

Great, I understand your opinion now, which is all I was trying to do. You don't think Barnes and Simmons would be a good fit on the court at the same time.

I was just thrown off when you said they were.

    "Love Barnes too!

But not on same team with Simmons AND Tate.

I'd take 2 of them but 3 on court together will destroy spacing"

I mean yes and no. Wall is a better scorer, I suppose. But if I’d rather have Rubio to plug in with a young team as a complementary player that won’t stunt their growth.

If we can come out of this with some salary taken and a FRP or two thrown our way, then get 'er dun Morey.

With KPJ out, Wall would have started.

Anyway point missed, if Rubio at PG is reason Mobley is ROY then Rockets had a better PG in Wall.

    Rubio is a journeyman backup.

He is NOT the reason Mobley has been so good.

Though a Wall/Mobley 2 man pick n roll game would be pretty beast I reckon, and people would see the difference in tiers between Wall and Rubio. Rubio's never come close to Wall's assist numbers (few have in the same timeframe) and Wall is way more of a threat on the drive even now. I still think it's stupid we're sitting our best PG by far, but if we are I'd do anything to get rid of the contract. That much dead money on a roster is such a waste, you should always have as much of the money you're spending working for you as possible. High cost role players are bad, supermax bench warmers who don't even play is criminal.

Wall/Embiid would be a pretty deadly duo PnR because of Embiid's ability to pop out. He also is pretty good defensively and Philly could really grind out some games.

I doubt Daryl goes for him though unless he gets a big haul. Hence why I proposed we ship out Ego + a 1st. I think Morey wants to stock up on some classic assets to use this summer to re-tool the roster and some of our picks would certainly achieve that goal.

It'd be a huge organizational win to wipe out 150+ million in salary and free up 2 guard spots. I feel really good about a KPJ/Green/Christopher guard rotation that I don't want to bring in anymore guards. Just keep DJA as the backup/break-glass-in-case-of-emergency type guard at the end of the bench.

Why would a wall/Mobley pr be better than wall/wood? Because wall is a selfish pr… wood is better than Mobley at this point. Kpj and wood looked great before kpj’s injury. Rubio would be better than both in the short term, but we need to keep developing kpj

The only way I want the Rockets involved in any Simmons deal is if its a three way and we get a young player or picks in the deal. Simmons is a bad contract just like Wall and Westbrook.

If that's directed towards my post, I never mentioned Wood. Just simply stated the facts that Wall plays better than Rubio in his sleep, and always has. It was a Wall>Rubio post and had nothing to do with Wood.

I don‘t disagree at all. But Wall isnt playing - And I don‘t think our main motivator right now is winning. We want players, that help our young players develope. Wall is a really good player - that takes a whole lot of shots. Rubio is a good player, that passes his teammates open and doesn‘t take many shots. That‘s what I meant - a guy like Rubio would make Greens life a lot easier and it would make Senguns life a little bit easier.

Don't know why you guys are arguing over semantics for pages and pages

    1. Rubio wall Simmons maxey etc. Who cares, they all suck or bad contract or overrated. Don't want any of them. Can't win a ring with them.

    2. You can't have your cake and eat it too .Every one is agreeing that wood would "help a contender" but then everyone is saying "I want a top lotto pick for wood". Hummmm, last time I checked, contenders aren't in the lottery

    3. We probably haven't heard any news the last three days cuz Windhorst is stuffing his face with donuts and hotdogs instead of tweeting , or heart attack. I haven't gotten word yet, so I'm guessing the latter.

I don‘t know if you think I wanted to imply, that Rubio is the reason Mobley has been great. I don‘t. A pass first PG helps other players, that need a pass to get open. So yeah, he helped Mobley just as he would help Green. But he is not an X-factor. Mobley plays great because he is a great player that doesn‘t need as much adjustment to the NBA as I expected.

But playing without a real PG definetly has hurt Green a bit who also needs a little more adjustment to the NBA than I expected. I was just thinking about what kind of player would help our young guys and Rubio has been popping in my head. For what its worth I also think Ben Simmons would really help our rookies. He is a great playmaker that doesn‘t need his own shot and can help out on defense and at rebounding… I just don‘t think we are willing to give up what Morey will be asking…
