    Melo would have to give up money for a buyout. Keep in mind the Rockets will also not have his bird rights in order to "make him whole" next year were he to decline his PO to facilitate a buyout.

    The difference between George and Anthony is pretty freaking massive.

    Anthony is meh, flashy but not a huge impact, but George is a game changer. Don't see what we could offer Indy that would even make them think about trading him. Surely there are other teams that could top our offer even without a guarantee, we really have very little asset wise.

    No guarantee that George would be a rental. Especially if we have CP3 and Harden there to convince him to stay.

    If we have acquired Paul George in trade, it means we have given up all major contracts but George, Paul and Harden except possibly Anderson or Gordon, who will each have 1 less year on their contract after having been more wide open than Ricky Rubio for a whole season.

    We will sign someone else. And that's the worst case scenario. Are we not supposed to make moves unless the worst case scenario is amazing?
