I'd much rather have Millsap than Melo. Get'er done, Morly.

I never thought I'd want the Jazz to get a positive outcome

How was your curiosity not satisfied?
You put forth a hypothetical situation about getting under the cap to sign Paul by 'giving up one of the bigger salaries' (the only one that would work is Anderson and require other tweaks/ incentives to move it), and I asked the return question of why that would be better than just giving up the guys who won't play with Paul here anyway AND staying over the cap to have a bigger MLE to sign depth AND still having a bunch of non-guaranteeds to play with.

Ask yourself the further question: with a huge max on the table in free agency, why would Chris Paul opt IN to get traded to the Rockets? Does he have an expectation that a further move will be made? [of course there has been no collusion....]

The video doesn't work for me :/

What was Windy saying? That if Hayward is not signing with Boston, Ainge will not trade for George?

Hayward will be a massive domino to fall. He'll meet with Heat, Celtics & Jazz. Giving the Jazz 3 days to see what else they do & listen to Heat/Celtics. Celtics have a window here to build a super team. They could convince Hayward to sign, land him by Monday & offer their assets to Indiana for Paul George. By next week, they could have a "super team". Or they could not get Hayward, not get Griffin & decide not to trade for George. I know how Daryl Morey would operate.

If Hayward signs with Boston, they go hard after George.
If Hayward doesn't, chances the Rockets get George increases. Rockets are rooting for Hayward to stay in Utah or go to Miami.
If Hayward goes to Miami, Waiters is gone.

At least Hayward is not trying to be an attention w**** and drag this **** out. He apparently wants to make a quick decision.

After watching that, I don't want Melo. The Rockets should try to be the third team landing Melo in Cleveland and snag Love in the process as long as it only cost Anderson and NGs.

I don't understand the rationale behind: if he's bought out-goes to Cavs, and that he'll only accept a trade to the Rockets. What is the difference financially? A buyout gives him the most money, period. Is this just a way to say "I want to make it kind of screw the Rockets, but I'll do ANYTHING to be on the Cavs" ? Sounds like Melo wants out and the rest is just hearsay. Can always count on ESPN to be bias towards LeBron though.

    https://www.thescore.com/nba/news/1...t-beverley-trying-to-convince-griffin-to-stay

"We got to get him to try and stay," Beverley told the L.A. Times' Brad Turner about Griffin. "We get him, we're going to be dangerous."

"I'm all in for that recruitment stuff to try to get him to stay. I talked to him. He seems excited," the 28-year-old added. "It's a process. I told him no matter what to enjoy the process because he deserves it."

So Jae Crowder, Hayward and George??? How many star wings can a team have? Makes more sense to go after a BIG to go with 2 star wings instead.
