And from the sounds of it he's nowhere near being done which is smart but risky.

I just hope it happens within this weekend, I would hate to be on a 4 day weekend having to constantly hit refresh on my phone Monday and Tuesday for trade or signing moves.

 

Millsap asked the Hawks for a S+T and they have discussed it with other teams. One is Rockets.

 

Milsap and Melo are realistic trade targets. To my mind, Paul George is not. We just don't have the assets.

The person is clearly simplifying to prove a point. Also, Lowry netted us the pick that landed Harden. So the tweet, in a way, included Lowry.

Because he's so good that he's won like 4 gold medals. That would make him a top tier player seeing he's on Olympic teams over and over where they seemingly have their choice of the top 12 Americans. I'm guessing that means he's good at basketball.

To me, Millsap would be our answer to Draymond. I would love to have him on this Rockets team.

 

Regarding offloading Ryan Anderson. More than anything, it is great to hear from Cod that the Rockets can move him. Vucevic makes sense. Still a productive player and is an expiring. Funny that Tobias Harris is mentioned as I thought about him as well. Would be a good fit in the Rockets MDA system. Also expiring.

Getting the BIG FISH is the hardest part. Looking forward to how Morey "stocks the cupboards" with rotation players.

 

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if maybe Boston isn't willing to spend their major assets on George. Clearly their first, top target is Hayward. And George isn't exactly a great fit next to him unless one guy is willing to play 20+ minutes out of position every night at the 2 or 4. Plus, Boston can do a sign and trade for Griffin, Millsap, Ibaka, etc. for far fewer assets than it would require to get George. AND a sign and trade would guarantee Ainge would have Hayward and another star caliber player locked in for another four years.

So maybe George is more attainable than we think he is? The one wild card in this situation would obviously be the Lakers, but we're not even sure what package they would be willing to put together to get him, and without a 1st next year or an elite prospect on the roster, I don't know if it will be better than what Morey can offer with Gordon and pieces.

 

I know the Rockets are entertaining this possibility, largely with unguaranteed deals, but how often do you see a max FA go to a team via S&T without the cap space?

Boston dun goofed by not trading for Jimmy Butler. He plays the 2, Hayward plays the 3.

 

Paul George is the better choice but we will more likely get Melo since he and CP3 is trying to form a new big 3.
