SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Don't want those "national pundits" to hear...

Anyways, it doesn't matter what place we're in tomorrow. Our time will come soon enough to either stand tall or crumble. But yeah tomorrow's game is really really important.

Dallas plays at the Lakers...so we could or rather...should pass them.

I love that shaq trade. It absolutely killed Pheonix's chemistry. Dallas should lose as well. 5th it very well could be.

    Phoenix looking very beatable.

Before Yao, I would say I was only concerned with San Antonio and possibly Lakers, felt like everybody else was beatable, felt like we would beat N.O., Denver, GS, Dallas, and Phoenix. Still feel like we are definitely better than N.O., Denver, and GS. Still feel like we can beat PHX and Dallas in a 7 game series without Yao. Don't know about SA, Utah, and LA, without Yao. I think we flush N.O. out in 5-6 games max. Would love to face them in first round.

    We'll see soon enough.

........Still got this dream of Deke wagging the no-no finger, only it's a #1 finger with the whole team surrounding him.

Deke has wagged that finger before with Denver at #8 beating a #1 seeded Sonics team! Would love to see that again to be sure.

Kinda optimistic, no? I don't know about you, but I expect the Rockets to be in a tough 1st round playoff battle, regardless of the opponent. I don't think we can be considered the favorites in any one of those match-ups, except for Denver or GS (and even then, not so sure).

    Honestly this year....

1-8 seed. Nobody is favorites. Every team matches up different.

After our loss to Philadelphia, it motivated the team to play better. We ended up winning 19 out of 20. I just hope the same doesn't happen for Phoenix.

if Dallas loses tomorrow, they would be 39-21.

IF Houston wins, they would be 39-20.

    Phoenix, at 39-20, is idle...

    head-to-head vs. Phoenix: 1-1

    Phoenix Conference Record: 17-16
    Houston Conference Record: 20-13

translation: Fifth Seed, Home-Court Advantage over Utah

    I second this.

First I think now without Yao we actually match up better with the Jazz. Stick Hayes or Scola on Boozer and the other run around to keep up with Okur.

Secondly, I want revenge, thats why I perfer the Jazz or Dallas as a first round match up and I want domination.

If were going to lose we lose but at least give us a shot at redemption with those 2 teams. Let the Rockets fight and fight till the end and when the smoke clears hopefully we are moving on the the second round or we at least have given them enough hell that they will be weak and feable for the next opponent they face.

Denver, Utah, GSW are perfect fit for Rockets in first round of the playoffs.

I wouldn't love to see Lakers, Spurs or even Suns for that matter.

Suns play portland, then denver, then utah
    Win Win Loss

dallas plays Lakers, then utah, then Houston
Loss Loss Win(sorry but could be very likely for a loss)

Houston plays Denver, then indiana, then dallas
    Win Win Loss

Denver plays Houston, Phoenix, san antonio ALL LOSSES

golden state plays portland, atlanta, charlotte ALL WINS

By the end of the three games
    Suns should be 41-21(fifth)
    dallas should be 40-22(seventh)
    houston should be 40-21(sixth)
    golden state 38-22(eighth)
    denver 35-26(ninth)

I think the Suns will keep dropping; they just don't look good with Shaq right now. Aren't they something like 2-4 with Shaq?

The good thing is dallas and N.O. both play before us so we will know by the beginning of our game exactly our chances

I see your point, I just feel Deron will have a field day on Alston.
