this season? 1st round victory for sure, but historically, the MVP matters more. In 5 years no one will remember if the Rockets got bounced in the 1st round, but they would remember Harden being MVP.

This is a stupid ass thread. The idea that someone thinks this is a legitimate question is idiotic. Win the championship. That's the goal every damn year.

MVP should be voted on after the series if they were going to present it after the finals.

Why can't we do both? Why one or other? I don't get it.

They should suspend the rule. How often do you have a photo-finish MVP race between two guys who face each other in the first round? Swallow the whistle and let the series decide it.

Westbrook is a historical MVP, Harden would choke again.

bc its a regular season award and rewards your accomplishments that has gotten you to the next part which is the playoffs.

I thought it was a stupid question but then again...if it's only 1st round victory and then a 2nd round loss in sweep maybe I would prefer to have Harden happy with the MVP trophy.
1st round win either way if that's all, it's almost meaningless.
Now if we are talking about the WCF then there's no question about it.

Anyway I don't care much about MVP trophies anyway, apart from having Harden being happy.
