I have no confidence whatsoever in our defense. Rockets defensive efficiency, for the month of December, was worst than last year. Our offense regressed during December too. Every statistical measurement points to a mediocre team. We are slipping down on all bball rankings. Without a healthy Asik, don't expect too much!
We are a young team in a learning curve. If we have: 4-3 - below expectation, 5-2 - expectation, 6-1 - surprise, 7-0 - hit the jackpot! Let's not worry about a winning streak, just win one game at a time! Anyway, Happy New Year to all Clutchfans!
The Kings are good, Gay, Cousins and Thomas are good and playing well and playing well together. Harden, Lin are due for good games and really good games. They can't play any worse than they did in OKC. That's if they are reasonably healthy. I'm not sure they are. Dwight should play well against the Kings, TJones should bounce back and someone other than Brooks on the bench needs to show up. I think the it's a win against the Knicks on Friday. The Rockets have their number, Lin kills them. We'll see if their general energy and shooting and play gets sharper. Hopefully it will.
12/31 vs. Kings -- W 1/3 vs. Knicks -- W 1/8 vs. Lakers -- W 1/10 @ Atlanta -- L 1/11 @ Washington -- L 1/13 @ Boston -- W 1/15 @ New Orleans -- W That's what I'll go with. 5-2.
No more excuses with this bullcrap injuries. Everyone is healthy except Asik and Rockets are what they are--just an awful team for December.
2-5 looks like a very real possibility. Rox play like a bunch of chumps far too many times this year. No leadership to speak of.
Thy shouldn't be better than us. What about the Chemistry excuse used, "we need time to gel" Gay just got there and they look like a damn playoff team already.
