IT looks like this might not be resolved today.

THey are getting it next year:D

Federer is finally on track. In the first two sets there wasn't that much difference between them, Nadal just won the importent points. But overal Federer has more points than Nadal has.

    Federer will win.

yeah that's how i felt in the french open final. nadal is a great player and a class act. he has the appearance of a young, brash, cocky guy (think: roddick), but his actions show that he's quite the opposite.

as hard as i'm rooting for fed, it's tough to draw up any animosity towards nadal. i'm rooting against him, but i'd be happy for the guy if he won.

Maybe true, but right before the delay, Fed was showing signs of coming out. So I don't think it's due to the rain delay--at least not much of it.

It's utterly ridiculous to imply that Federer's choking, any more than it is to imply the same about Nadal. Each are playing the best- those shots Federer is hitting into the net are partially a result of Nadal's returns. Same with Nadal.

Francis 4 prez, what you should do from this point on is always root for the favorite, as the favorites win the majority of the time. That way, you can't be constantly disappointed or think that luck is never on your side or that there is some type of referee/luck/God-with-his-decision-to-bring-rain-down-and-favor-Federer bias. Everyone, everyone can look at who they root for and believe they are cursed- heck, even the folks in Boston, from 1987 through 2000, had to feel that they were cursed. Best bet is to root for whoever is favored each year.

federer is just too damn good. 15-40 and it's just nothing to him. rips off 4 straight to win the game. his serve is just perfect when he needs it to be.

edit: next game, down 0-30, just fights it off no problem. he just paints the line on his first serve.

nadal serving for the match? if he loses now, that will be painful. make this easy, don't go down 0-15 or 0-30.

Prediction: Federer will break back for 8-8.

    [Edit: Or not. Congrats, Rafa!]

nadal wins!!!! can't believe it. he deserved it as he outplayed federer most of those last 10 games or so. federer almost didn't seem to care on that last shot.
