Ah, Willowbrook where I spent me my first 17 years... There's the same things to do there as everywhere else. Movies, restaurants, mini-golf, the mall....
I haven't been there in probably 3-4 years. I live clear across town and Midtown is much more appealing to me. That doesn't surprise me though. There used to be tons of hot chicks though and it was a good happy hour spot. Is that still true?
There are 2 movie theaters on 249 and 1960, a strip club, and an ice skating rink. There is an ice rink in on 249 by the movie tavern as well.
It is going to be in the evening on Friday night or afternoon on Saturday. I don't think she is a big drinker but if she wants to hit a bar I am game and could probably just drive around and find one. I was thinking on finding something to do after dinner or lunch that is not watching a movie. I don't want to watch a movie on a 1st date. She seems like a good girl. Very funny about the Chris Hansen. She is definitely of age...... although younger than me.... who hoo!
there's not much to do at willowbrook anymore. same old same old. Thank goodness I live in downtown/midtown area now.
It's a wannabe Alamo Draft House. And it sucks. Though to those who don't know any better, it'll probably be pretty decent.
There is a Fox and Hound out there as well, now. There is a lighted par 3 golf course close by, its a pretty fun date actually.
HAHA. that place acutally isnt htat bad laff spot...the movies obviously. willowlanes (bowling). bj's (the restaurant).
Wouldn't be a bad choice for a first date. I've hung at Sam's boat and Baker's street over in willowbrook
I haven't been there in a couple of years. I live by willowbrook, but i barely go anywhere in that area.
First date with that girl? It's very important to know how to break the ice. You should do something which you are really good at in order to impress her. What about trying to mock the English ability of the foreigners like what you have been doing to the oversea posters here. Your girl may actually find it funny if she's also a douche like you. Good luck.
I always go to AMC 24, I have not tried Movie Tavern yet. Id say movies are a safe first date. You wont be saying much so there is a good chance you wont put your foot in your mouth. If you a bit nervous about the date it may be a better choice than being face to face at a dinner table for an hour plus. Afterwards you could always see if drinks, a bite to eat, or coffee is a possibility (if nerves have calmed down a bit) and do a bit more talking and see where it goes from there. Captain Toms on 1960 is by far one of the best kept secrets in Houston. If she likes fried seafood your a hero. There is also a new fusion sushi place off Cutten and 1960 called Waza if your trying to wine and dine.
