I for one, and ecstatic over the Willis pickup...mainly because I hated seeing him go when he was traded before. Not to mention the fact that he fits us to a "T" Who cares how old he is...this guy is buff and in great shape just as he was when he palyed here a few years ago. He is more durable than Hakeem, and honestly he will work better on this team. He also gets paid less and his contract last only this year. He is a big huge veteran work horse, pure and simple. ITS PERFECT!

    Willis has SHORT ARMS.

Fromobile seems to think his third arm makes up for the other two . ;)

I totally agree...but he is not a permanent fix. He should be a permanent Rocket we would be stupid to dump him again, especially considering what we got for him the first time......but we still need a 5. Not a guy that can play the 5, but a solid 5 that can change shots and rebound...throw the ball to the backcourt and let stevie and cat run the plays. Dream was crying because Rudy stopped calling plays for him. We need a 5 that doesnt expect every play to run through him.

    What ya think

Willis is that kind of 5. He doesn't need to get plays called for him, he should get his in the flow and on the offensive boards. And if he concentrates on rebounding and clogging the middle, I think he'll average over 10 boards a game ala how Rodman used to do so. Great pick up, especially because I can see him Griifin and Cato being out their in pairs, or even at the same time. In fact, I'd start Willis at PF with Cato against the big Western teams.

As usual, Jeff, CD / Rudy were given big lemons with the Marc Jackson debacle, and, as usual, they made lemonade. Instead of a huge 6-year commitment, they got quality goods and a 1-year commitment with Willis. Thank you, thank you, CD / Rudy.

I'll say. I think Mr. Willis is some kind of robot, because he still moves and plays like he is 30.

I understand that, and that what I wish for,but their is not a good Center out there that worth getting without tearing the team apart. So, I glad that CD made the move for a short term solution to the Rox problem.Next yr. the Rox could find a #5 in the draft to bring along. Willis is doing a good job, and what is ask of him. I think the Rox will make it to the second round of the playoffs . ;)

One could argue that it is cruel to Jeff to revive this post.

However, if I were Jeff I would argue: " I was right. I told you he isn't the same. He's better!".

Willis, as expected, has proven to be some much needed Viagra for our deflated front line.

If Kevin keeps playing at this level, do we sign him to 2yr 6mil and try to trade collier or are we just renting him for this yr and hope collier will be ready for next yr.? Maybe , Collier was another Bryce Drew pick and is really not a NBA player. If Willis keeps playing like he is, I don't think the choice is that hard if you want to keep making the playoffs.
