Pwill needs a new trainer. Why they still allow the guy to lean over and fight like hes 5'9" instead of 6'1" is beyond me. Why they don't tell him to keep his hand up when he exchanges is r****ded. Why are you going to lean over, bend down, AND leave your right hand down against a southpaw? You do that, and you get knocked the **** out.

Big props to Martinez. Great punch. Martinez has flown under the radar for quite some time and may honestly be in his prime now (he started late) despite being 35. He's a top 5 p4p guy with this win. Williams will be back. He's still a great fighter. Hopefully we get to see the rubber match. Make it a trilogy

He still is. Please keep idiotic comments like this out of my threads. No need for "No defense toothpick" insults towards Williams. martinez is a great fighter who landed a great punch. Go lick Manny's nuts in one of the 100 threads about him.

Oh and that ref had some kind of predetermined agenda. Absolutely terrible. He should never be allowed to do that again.

Ummm...no. Go read the Manny/Margarito thread. I like Manny. Both Williams and Martinez would beat him. Ahhhh.....the sweet sound of talking to an idiot. Shouldn't you be licking windows somewhere?

Thats what I thought the biggest problem with Paul. He doesn't fight tall. Dude was fighting way too wild and I had a feeling Sergio was going to catch him with something. Didn't think Sergio would pull out as shotgun and blast Paul Williams though.

As for people saying they don't have a chance against Manny, that is just a ridiculous statement. Manny might have a shot against Paul Williams because of how sloppy he is but both guys are just too big. If they're smart, they won't risk a fight with Sergio. Same for Floyd.

This has been echoed around boxing fora while but he will never leave George. Peterson pretty much raised the kid and he's paul's father figure. Williams doesn't use his size at all and tht's unfortunate.

I love watching manny fight and the energy he has brought to boxing but I despise his casual fans that only care about him. They are the worst fans of any athlete. It's a shame it's nearly impossible to discuss boxing on any forum without a Manny/Floyd debate breaking out.

I want to see martinez/Williams 3 to be honest. If not that then what do you think is next for him? He made the weight so could he possibly make 54? A lot more fights for him at that weight class then at 60

Pretty cool that most boxing writers are going to vote for Martinez for Fighter of the Year. That would be great to see

It's cool and I know you're joking. If you're a boxing fan you have to appreciate Manny. I've loved watching him fight since his first fight with Barrera. Not to mention he's a very likeable guy in person. Man, some of these fans really ruin it though. Boxing isn't a sport in which we have to deal with bandwagon guys. It's just not typical. So it's so difficult to deal with these new "fans" now who know nothing about the sport.

I'm very happy Martinez will win FOTY though. He beat Pavlik and ko'd Williams. He earned his award and hopefully it gets him some media attention since he's a great fighter

Yep. Manny could Ko Charley Burley and Sam Langford in the same night. Those names will most certainly send them to Google

    what,

Even though he ko'd my fighter you know I respect Pirog. Early talks are that HBO would approve him for a Martinez fight. I'd love to see that one. Best fight at 160 and it's not close
