Will you be happy IF Knicks don't match our offer to Lin ?

if we are gonna tank at least lets tank with some players we can look forward to watching with anticipation.

We already know what we have with lowry & dragic. What i dont understand is why morey sort of didnt make a full run at Lin.

Why offer Lin a contract that made it so easy for the knicks to match? Morey should have maxed out with a 40 mill offer, at least make it a little bit harder for the knicks.

 

I'll be in the minority here but I do think Brooks is better than Lin and he'd be much cheaper.

For this contract, I would be shocked if NY does not. So yes, definitely happy considering the price.

 

I'm OK either way.

If the Knicks match, then at least we won't be overpaying.

If they don't match, then I think we're overpaying (over the entire contract), but at least we'd have a young PG on the roster that is teachable and has decent up-side.

 

Has there been any speculation that the Knicks are at the slightest bit contemplating whether they will match the offer? Or is it really a forgone conclusion that they will match?

At the money we'd be getting him for, Lin would be a good deal. Not a great deal, but a good one. The Knicks will match, though.

 

if we have both Lin and Brooks that would be awesome. they're essentially the same type of player and we will always put up points and run all game. would be so fun. good luck to teams if they can run for 48 minutes.

 

We cut the guy last year for a reason and now we want to pay him huge? Sorry, but we didn't pay Goran for his performance over 20+ games and I think it would be a terrible move to pay Lin for his performance over the same duration. Keep the rebuilding train in motion going forward, not backward.

 

Many are saying Lin's being overpaid a lot by the contract Houston is already offering.

Giving him 40 mill is crazy. Morey won't pay that. The only reason he was willing to offer Lin 29 million is because of "Lin-sanity", not because his on-the-court play warrants it...
