AMNESTY is only for players who were under contract BEFORE the new CBA

Amazing, isn't it? One year after being the rare team that has three point guards it started the season with elevate their games the way Dragic, Lowry and Lin did, all in one season? It was an embarrassment of riches. And now to have Livingston as the starter? Bring on Lin!

the fact that we watch basketball is to get entertained. Lin gives that. I saw him in preseason and predicted he would be really good cause he's ballsy and not afraid to attack the basket. something only superstars has the guys to do. and not afraid to take big shots.

he's the perfect player to have. he's on tebows level but has actual skills. rockets would be lucky to have him back.

No. I think Lin is overrated. Although we don't have any qualified pg yet, I don't want to bring him to Rocket. I doubt he can reproduce similar performance. I would rather to sign Bayless.

I'll be happy either way. At this point we already lost Goran and Lowry who both are better player so whatever. I'll wait until the season starts before I make up my mind.

The happiest person will be Les.

It'll put butts in the seats even with a possible "tank" season.

    Thanks.

I wish I could get the video title to stay. I named it but no matter what I do or try, it won't put my title on the video...

    Don't believe so.

Otherwise, I think Houston would have done so years ago with Gortat...

Maybe the NBA can put him up on eBay so we can up our bid if necessary...perhaps even snipe him at the last second.

My opinion on this whole thing is that (even though it appears the team's in rebuild mode) you bring in Lin for the media exposure.

Think about it: if Lin doesn't come here, the major networks still won't wanna show Rocket games. Part of me thinks that one of the many reasons why free agents don't wanna sign in Houston is because they are ignored by the media. But if TV starts showing a lot of Rocket games and everyone gets to see the team's young talent on display then maybe (I know it's a BIG "maybe") some star player may decide he wants to join this deep young team.

It's a long shot for sure but it can't hurt...

No, it would probably work. You have an entry fee to each bidder based on the the caliber of the player. Entry fee (say, $1 million per bidder) to the league office. Highest bid becomes the player salary...minus 10 percent, which also goes to the league office (er...to help defray auction costs related to time, effort and...let's just say "league office greed factor").

The contract is a lot better than I thought it would be so yes, I'd like him here.
