Money is never a problem for him
Only thing he's dreaming is a ring....

Maybe we can have a "rebuild" without trade Yao ?

For Yao's lack of leadship and heath/stamina problem
    He'll be great as a sixth-man but not a start with 40MPG
He has the ability and the heart to win
But what hs's being now is not suit for him

This is an asanine thread-Yao is the best offensive center in the NBA.......You are relegating him to a 6 man- go back to Hollywood Laker fan

I just thought he will be more effective with less playing time and responsibility.

Maybe saying the sixth-man is not exact

I'll stop watching the Rockets if he does. Yao deserves to be paid on the Ginobili salary scale. About $10-12mm per year since a big man is worth more than a guard. If Leslie offers him a max deal knowing full well that there is at least a 50% chance of having each season go down in flames without even the opportunity to make a championship run, what's the point of watching? Yao is a great player with a lot of heart, but no team with him as a max player will win the championship unless they have two superstars on rookie deals.

given the rules of the NBA today, i don't think a quality big man is worth more than a guard. i used to think that. no longer.

A full length max deal for Yao Ming would be the stupidest move yet by the Rockets. It will go up there with Moochie, Cato, and Matt Maloney.

Yao has shown over the last several years to break down and it's only going to get worse as he gets older. Foot problems on big men don't go away and tend to linger. If the Rockets are smart they will trade him while he still has some trade value left. Don't let this turn into another McGrady situation.

There are a lot of worse players in the NBA with max contracts. Some team will pay Yao a max deal if it won't be the Rockets.

Why do not you ask Tmac to give up his Max?
    It is stupidly unfair.

supply and demand, simple as that.

I don't see another 7'6 shooting techicals for his team, and there won't be another one for a long long time.

yeah, cause that's the measure of value we're looking for! :)

"i mean, sure he gets injured every year. sure he's missed the end of the season 3 of the last 4 years....sure he missed 30 games per season at least for the 3 seasons before this one....sure he's taken out of the game entirely when he's fronted....but damn it, he hits his free throws...so let's give him a max deal!"

Are you real fans of NBA, lol (you should know what NBA is)

That's not funny at all

So just let Yao walk away Rox, then at least 20 teams in NBA will love to sign him the max contract, i guarantee

not saying Yao deserves a Max deal but if we dont give him one the other 28 teams will line up to give him one. The only exception would be the Magic.

    6th man?

    f that
he just doesnt need to play 40 minutes
not playing hard in practice as RA says doesnt help squat.

give him 32 minutes and watch that be so much better
when your winning at the end dont be afraid to take him out early.
ra does everything good except PT

Yao is injury prone, slow, non-aggressive, turnover prone.......

But he has also made Houston Rockets games that most watched sporting events in NBA and probably turned Rockets into the most popular team in the world outshining Manchester United or maybe even New York Yankees.

Will he get a max deal?
