It's a fact. The post said he never led us to a championship, implying that we were close to one.

He never led the rockets to a playoff series victory, yet his fans want credit for a team winning streak where a new rocket hero appeared every game.

The rockets have a tradition of winning in the playoffs

    No it's reality .

The rockets had superior players before and they took the rockets to the nba finals.

Penny played for the magic and took the magic further than mcgrady.

Kobe ? He's already proven himself. He's an MVP, champion, and olympian.

    None of which Tracy accomplished.

they have the right to say what they believe
people saying this may or may not have the bigger picture in sight
Heck McGrady may not be the best fit here but he brought fun early on
He is a fun character. As said times before it did not work out.
Does he earn the money? Who knows but that's the price to pay for a player of that caliber

BTW to follow his situation in China and ridicule him because he is trying to end his career on a positive note is plain hating

I'll take 2 years and 2 rings and a MVP, finals MVP, and 50 greatest player of all time over 13 in 33.

22 game winning streak was a team accomplishment hijacked by mcgrady fans as an individual accomplishment

You are not following what has been said.
Kobe owes too much to the Lakers organization because they put him in a winning culture with stars and superstars and a HOF coach almost throughout his career.
I have no little doubt that he won't be the same person with the Kings or the Bobcats for half of his career.
This is substantial to a young player's career. Props to his mental toughness and work ethic but who knows what he will be when he is surrounded by
Smush Parkers and Kwame Browns instead of Shaqs, Howards, Malones, Nashes and whatever their names are. Just another borderline lottery pick.

I really appreciated T-mac until the 2008-09 season when he just gave up on the team. Before then, he truly made everyone around him better and was a very gifted scorer. He was one of the few players I really felt just "got it." It really is a shame he never got passed the first round and his injury issues. I really thought he/we were going to advance in 2004-05, and I will never forget the Michael Finley out of bounds miss-call.

What about his china stint ? That his team has not won a single game in a 32 game season?

    Zero and twelve ?

He never met expectations from the rockets. No one feels sorry for a max salary player who can't led his team in the playoffs to a series win.

This thread is not about accomplishment of any sort.
It's about letting go of the past and smile about the good times.
    You just don't get it.
Did Francis accomplish much in the postseason?
I don't see him get that much hate at the end of his career.

At least I don't have to insult people because they talk sense even if they don't agree.

The fans were cheering for Francis because they know he loves the rockets and the rocket fans.
    They know .

Don't act like rocket fans are stupid, they boo people for a reason.

And if you don't know why fans in Toronto , Orlando, and Houston boo him, then you are clueless.

There is no reason for people to be mad at Tmac or not like him as a player.

He always played well for us and he was the best player we have had since Dream until Harden came along.

The facts are that he got injured. That's plain and simple and it should be easy for people to understand because it happens to NBA players all of the time. You can see the extent of his injury because he was never able to come back to being even close to the player he used to be except for a few good games off the bench.

I think people that like to b**** about his performance for the Rockets will just b**** about anything.

there were fans clapping as well. You left them out.
but I am gradually understanding this.
Without those Tmac threads you'll have a lot less to say

    about playoff success
It's usually on the management that trades for those players than on the players themselves.... The org just wasn't on par with the likes of Spurs, Lakers

Talking about excuses, live with it.. how else can you survive decades of not being a contender?

I'll toss your reference aside because you are not fun at all when it comes to McGrady.
You are delusional if you think I am a Tracy fan....
I got hooked with that guy because he was a Rocket player.
I did not even know much about McGrady before the trade because I wasn't even watching the Eastern Conference to answer your puny assumption.
