LeBron could make a surge, but right now KD should be the clear-cut favorite.

LeBron is kind of coasting this year. Other than FG%, his numbers are down. Especially on defense.

Durant's been the best player in the league so far this season. A lot left to go though.

KD should win easily especially if he manages to make Kendrick Perkins relevant

Did you watch his harden defence today?

If we are just giving the MVP to the best offensive player does this mean harden is no.2 favourite to win?

People who say Paul George is close to Durant or Lebron make me laugh

Durant is an ok defender, i think people get caught up in a players defence a bit too much when talking about MVP(Rose won one and isn't a good defender either), Aldridge isn't a good defender, LeBron's defence has dropped away a bit but people don't take any notice of that

durant is the MVP favourite and the margin is getting bigger

PG had a string of games earlier in the season that raised his profile to a new level. Naturally, knee-jerk overreactions resulted. By the end of the post-season, maybe PG ends up being a consensus #3. It's possible.

KD is in the pole position for sure.

If Durant keeps this up for the rest of the season, it really doesn't matter what anyone else does, it'll be his to lose.

Just traded Lebron and Bosh for him in ESPN fantasy basketball. He better keep it up :).

they just want another guy to be in the discussion. Otherwise the competition is boring.

I imagine it's tiring carrying a whole team on your back.

KD is leading the league in win shares and win shares/48 minutes by a pretty healthy margin. That's a good metric at determining a player's importance to his team's success.

Best scorer by a distance and I'd say one of the best scorers of all time

A guy of that height and length and unbelievable range. Really tough to stop.

I think he deserves it if he keeps putting up 30/8/5
