Damn Seattle is just pathetic! This team won a 116 games?!?!?! They cant field worth a ****! Anyways bring on the D-Backs! As I am typing this some trouble is brewing in the 7th. Its 9-2 with 1 out but I think its not time to panic yet.
I went to the game last night. First time at Yankee Stadium (much, much nicer than Shea). Pretty good game, but there was an obvious lack of competition. The crowd (cheering in sync) brought back sweet memories of being in the stands for college hockey home games with cheers like "Overrated," "Sayanora," "No Game 6," and "World Series" (besides the the typical "Let's Go Yankees" chant). Great game, great crowd.
Thought this thread needed to be brought back up. This team always finds a way. All this with 2 outs an nobody on. Before the Yankees tied it at 5-5, I said to myself, "How will the Yankees do it this time." Their hitters dont give an inch, and then when they get a hanger.....GONE..unbelieveable.
I fail to see why you brought this thread back up considering it has been almost a year since the last response. I think if you did a new thread, you would have just as many maybe more posts, but I could be wrong. Not trying to be a smartass, JB, but I know that the admins don't like threads being older than 4 months or so being brought back up but maybe this thread is the exception to the rule.
They might not "always find a way", but damn, they have won more games on comebacks the past 2 years than the Astros have won postseason series, period.
Gee, thanks Pimp, I can hardly wait. Seriously, I would like to see the Yankees beat the Angels (believe it or not) because the Angels really overachieved to make the playoffs (it should have been the Red Sox or Mariners, oh well). Whoever wins between Minnesota and Oakland is who I want to win the ALCS. However, I have a bad feeling that it will be those damn Yankees again that represents the AL in the World Series.
