I'm impressed with VCU's Shaka Smart. He IS smart. I also think the way they play is the way our offense is currently going.

I think he also helped Old Man Rock favorite Larry Sanders (who is at least looking OK as a rookie) become an NBA prospect. I don't think he was that highly ranked as a recruit out of HS.

I wouldnt mind an young and unknown coach. I thnk a young coach who isnt stuck in their ways is more likely to adapt to changes. Try something new for a change. Just like the hiring of Morey was kind of unorthodox and unvonevtional.

I would like to see us keep an young coach and groom him to be here forever like Sloan and Pops. Even George Karl(Seattlle/Denver) and Jeff VanGundy(Knicks) were around for at east 6-7 years with their respected teams. During those years their teams were stable and succsesful. Look what happens after they leave.

Coaching changes every three-four years is always turbulent for an organisation. We need someone who we can get and keep for 7-12 years, someone inbetween the two extremes of JVG(defense) and Aldeman(offense).
