The Spam Bowl in Persimmon Snap Pennsylvania is a possibility.

Yeah, I wasn't a little frustrated with Gilbert's lack of vision, his throwing to a covered guy believing he could just bullet it in there.

I am really pissed that they have not yanked his butt out of the game.....let him sit a while and think about it....

And calling me a dumbass, really?

    Sad.

Considering Nebraska barely squeaking by IA State, I think they are overrated along with the rest of the Big XII.

I think it is going to be a long bowl season for the Big XII

    One sentence explanation:

Gilbert completed more passes to Kansas St. players than the Kansas St. QB did.

Chris Simms never looked even remotely as bad as Gilbert has looked this year. I have been on the "be patient" bandwagon, but we're nearing seasons end and he hasn't shown any progress, he actually seems to have regressed. I don't know what Case and Connor Wood have, but it seems next season there should be an open competition for the job at least.

And hopefully we get back to a more traditional offense, one where we are capable of running at will. With this current offense, they are completely beholden to how the QB plays, no plan B.

Gilbert's confidence is shot, you can see it in his decision making or lack thereof.

I don't understand why the coaches have not pulled him out of a game for his own good.

You can tell his teamates don't have any confidence in him either....they are opening up a big can of quit on Mack right now.

If it wasn't for College Football I'd be right there with you. Depressing time as a Houston fan / sports fan in general.

Why won't they put in Case?

They have already burned his redshirt year with those few snaps against Rice.

Gilbert needs a good dose of pine...YESTERDAY !!

Sorry about that. Frustrating sports weekend. I do think the leash should be shorter, but to call for his scholarship to be revoked is, well, a dumbass comment.

It's one thing to have a down year (8-4, 7-5), but this is just bad...John Mackovick bad. I believe Mac Brown has earned essentially a lifetime contract from UT. There is no reason, however, that every assistant shouldn't be fired. To go from the National Championship game to what ever this team is...is just an embarrassment.

It's almost the end of his second season.

If anyone still stands up for this guy it's ridiculous. 5 picks versus Kansas State? Yea Greg Davis and etc suck, but its Kansas State.

He doesn't have any poise when under pressure. Seems to get frightened and throw the ball away or for a 1 yard completion. He has started to scramble, which is nice, but his passing hasn't improved at all. I don't see the potential that everyone else mentions.

Bowl game is still a possibility. Lose to OK State but AtM is a always a toss up.

1st season... he didn't do jack **** last year aside from the mins he played for Colt in the national championship game. You don't learn much just by staying on the sideline. Not defending him... just pointing that out.

O line is bad and Gilbert looks lost, and while it may be his fault the majority of the blame has to fall on coaching. Greg Davis has been horrible for years now and had his job saved by the most dynamic CFB player of all time (IMO) VY and then the most accurate QB at UT, Colt. His game planning/preparation are terrible. Hopefully we get a new OC and a new offensive line coach. We do have one of the top RBs in the nation coming in next year so hopefully he can help the running game, but the schemes need to be improved.

Oh and those who think Mack will get canned are delusional. The only time Mack will leave is when he retires and becomes AD.
