I know programs have down years, but this year is a disaster. If the longhorns don't win another game which may happen some people are going to get fired. If i were muschamp I would have left already for a HC job. He is good coach, but you got to go when the iron is hot.
Doubt it... OK. St. next week.... A&M on Thanksgiving... It's pretty sad how low this team has dropped. It almost exactly reminds me of the Longhorns basketball program last season. Went from #1 to unranked and losing in the first round.
Who would have thought the aggies would be better than the longhorns and we all thought sherman was on the hot seat.
I thought the UT-A&M game would be a pair 5-6 teams playing for a bowl, but A&M is going to get its 6th today. So it will be UT trying for a bowl against the Aggies. (I'm assuming that they can beat Florida Atlantic.)
plenty of people are blaming brown, but that doesn't mean he's on the hot seat. it's hard to believe he suddenly forgot everything he knows about running a program between january and august of this year. the collapse has just been unbelievable. 10 straight 10 win seasons and now we'll be lucky to win 5. has there ever been a drop off like that?
One major concern with Gilbert is that he's not learning. He's not a better QB - and maybe is worse - today than he was at the beginning of the season. He hasn't shown any progress at all.
He's had a hell of a lot less help than at the beginning of the season, too. Lots more drops and a running game that's regressed worse than I thought was possible. Game planning, as is common w/ Greg Davis, is incredibly predictable. I'm not saying no blame is on Gilbert, but this is nowhere near all his fault...as DD has constantly posted lately.
So... Longhorns- Suck. Rockets- Suck. Astros- Suck. Texans- Unimpressed. Not a big fan of sports right now.
BTW- Was this game even on TV tonight? I couldn't find it and I cannot remember the last time a Horns game wasn't televised in Houston.
