Will the Lakers still be a championship team next year?

unless they meet houston in the play-offs. and im not being a homer by saying that. they can beat everyone else even with a declining kobe. this will be their last year to win though.

 

It has been many years since Fisher consistently played great defense. And as I already mentioned, the big shots he's known for hitting wouldn't even be necessary if he didn't suck so bad the first 45 minutes, keeping the other team in the game.

The question still boggles my mind, a more fit question would've been will the Lakers 3-peat, not if they're be championship caliber - it's pretty apparent especially w/ the improvements with Blake/Barnes they have no plans on giving that 'ship away.

And Kobe's only declined athletically, not as a player.

 

As long as the triad of Gasol - Kobe - PJ exists, I don't think they will ever be out of championship talks.
