Part of China's strategy was to move as many ethnic Chinese into Tibet and as many ethnic Tibetans out of Tibet as possible ala the ethnic cleansing of former Yugoslavia post communism (over the past forty years) or Israels continual creation of new settlements/eviction of Palestinians on land they previously agreed to not impinge upon.

I think facts like 'time of day' and the account by one of her classmates were more salient than who took the picture.

One thing I heard previously argued is that some protestors claimed that the dozer intentionally, physically ran over her. I used to operate a dozer years ago, smaller than the Cat in the photo. I never ran over people, but I have a good idea that she would not have been in as good a shape as they showed in the 'after' pictures if the dozer was intentionally used to kill her.

That said, god bless. I believe she had good intentions.

    Woofer,

You post 'heil Bush' and 'das Juden' one day, then seem rather logical and reasonable on other days.

    Are there two of you?

    I thought of that also.

I think they used to use rubber bullets years ago, before the aggression ramped up. They were criticized even for the rubber bullets then (they still can be lethal, I believe).

I guess they would have to carry two weapons nowadays, but maybe they should.

If you look at the pictures, it doesn't even look like the same bulldozer. The one with the megaphone in it has a blade that is kind of rust colored on top, has a white line across the middle that is crooked on one end, and is sort of mottled white and blue on the bottom. The one with Rachel on the ground has a blade that is dark on the very top, has a large white band, has a white stripe that is totally straight, and has a solid blue bottom. If they are two different bulldozers, which seems clear, that seems like very deceptive "journalism" and certainly allows for the possibility that the driver never saw the girl and it was an accident.

    Girl killed in Bethlehem battle

An Israeli undercover unit has shot dead a 10-year-old Palestinian girl and wounded her parents and 15-year-old sister in Bethlehem in what a military source said was a tragic accident.

Here's another tragic accident. I won't say it was or wasn't an accident, but I'm really disappointed at the lack of media coverage this has received in the U.S. Israeli casualties at the hands of Palestinians would certainly receive more coverage than this.
