I think Dirk was suspended because it was a stupid and dangerous foul. Superstar or not, MVP or not, those kinds of fouls need to be punished so they don't happen again.

I don't know how to explain it. It wasn't overly excessive with malicious intent to kill AK47, but it was just a dumb foul. You don't swing your arm at someone's neck like that especially with all that momentum. He could have possibly done some career-ending or life-threatening damage to AK47.

You CAN NOT say that TJ Ford wasn't scared for his life when he was paralyzed. Not that he would die, but could you imagine going from a professional athlete to paralyzed? Miraculous recovery. I wish him the best and I'm glad it didn't happen to AK47, Jazzhole or not.

My good friend and team SG broke his collar bone off a stupid foul like that, and he hasn't played ball ever since. He's too afraid to get hurt like that again.

As for T-Mac, does it really matter what he says? It's what he does that matters, he's said that just recently. :p

The Dirk suspension may be just an extra, extra, extra late makeup call for the Finley out-of-bounds play...

Hopefully this game knocks the Mavs into a downward spiral that takes them completely out of the playoffs.

(One of those statements makes sense anyway.)

 I wanted to choke that piece of crap (Finley) after the game. In the post-game interview he was so smug when they asked him about that missed call. That was seriously a series-changing call.

Actually, he's got back problems that compound all the emotional trauma he's had to deal with over the past month or so. He was on the radio the other day saying it's around 85% or so. Gosh, I just hate it that a young, slasher like that would have back problems and personal problems on top of that  I don't know what our team would do if we had a similar problem (besides turn on our own and ask for him to be traded....)

Here's to the Rox smacking the Mavs and their fans with a big old case of STFU. I'm so sick of them (and I live here in Dallas) talking smack about all things Houston. They make fun of us for having a guy like T-Mac who is often injured or hurt, well now we'll see how they respond to some adversity. Surely, they'll just get more petty and desperate.

Tmac is just telling it like it is, like he always does.

Could you imagine if AK47 did that same foul to Dirk??? He'd probably be suspended 10 games and charged 10 million dollars then get sent to Auschwitz to receive German water torture and the water used would be tears straight from Dirk.

    LOL
[IMG]I see you Dirk!! FOULING PEOPLE FLAGRANTLY.

in other news, Rafer Alston is talking mad smack on the Mavs fan forum.

if tmac had that much pull, he would get more free throw attempts and more superstar calls. i can't believe how much melo was getting away with simply by holding the dude's arm/jersey in that game and didn't get any calls. it was so blatant.

I don't know why Tracy had to say that. He acts as though Mark Cuban sends tape to the commisioner to complain about past games. :p

Haha, that's hilarious that you think McGrady is the reason Dirk got suspended...

He wasn't lobbying...he was stating the obvious. That was a Flagrant 2 and Dirk deserves the punishment. If Dirk didnt believe so he could have appealed.

The league is so soft now. That is a regular foul back when guys like Hakeem and them were playing.

He said in a recent interview that he really doesn't give a **** about what other people think about him, and I would think the same thing. Give these guys a break I bet you've said a bunch of stupid **** before, its just that in his case every word he says is being recorded.

I much rather have that T-Mac who doesn't care what people say, then a T-Mac where he gives generic answers and everything you WANT to hear. I want T-Mac to be real when he gives interviews and not sugar coat and side step anything. Why should anyone care what other people think about you?

The league didnt suspend Dirk because T-Mac said so. The foul was flagrant. He was pulling him down. Just mad he was getting owned 17-6 in the first quarter.

Since when does Stu Jackson listen to anyone in order to make his judgements? Dirk would have been suspended anyways because the league always takes a look at video from a game where a flagrant foul was issued anyways.
