I hope so....I have not heard one reporter ask the questions about the injury though.....

How severe is it, what is the chance of a complete recovery?

Never a big fan of his game, but I like him as a person.

Dude is still relatively young, and this injury doesn't sound very serious to me. I think he still has quite a bit of game in him. Yeah, the Rockets kinda wasted money on him this year, but if he rehabs well and comes back next year 100%, I'd welcome him back.

Steve please don't come back! CD should be GM of the Century for being able to pull off the trade for T-Mac "Future Hall of Famer" for a declining, overrated, and overpaid Steve Francis. Oh and take Mike James with you.

Francis will be back. Just like D-Wade. He's young enough that I expect him to make a full recovery and play at the level that we are accustomed to.

    SF will be back.

The guy has heart - and he's not old. I think he will never be the same, but he can still be a contributor next year.

I look at him as I did Bonzi last year. He just wasn't meant to be a contributor this year, but who's to say what will happen next year. He might all of a sudden get off his butt and do a lot for us and people will be saying, "man if they only had him last year!" But things don't work like that do they, there was no way to make Bonzi help us last year, and ditto Francis this year.

If they can fix his legs, look for a Baron Davislike resurgence from the Franchise.

Francis confirmed he'll be back in the interview so to everybody who said no, you know what to do.

Close thread, the answer was Yes :D

He is a talented player and if he can play within Coach RA's system, it would be a great help to Rox. I therefore voted "yes".

I've said it since he stunk up the last two games that he played in that he needed surgery. Well here we are. Surgery. This is a common injury among NBA players and lot of guys get the surgery and come back. The Rockets will get the best doctors possible.

In the early season they said Francis wasn't in shape. Well he wasn't. It was a vicious cycle. If ya work out, you aggravate the injury. If you don't you get out of shape. He comes in anyway and tries to play and you could tell he was a step slow and probably played in pain. Hopefully, this ends the cycle pain/train/more pain and not being able to train at a high level to be effective on the court. When he is able to train at a high level, we will get the guy back that we traded T-Mac for. :D

I think the Rockets are going to keep him, since we did get him on the cheap, and if he can come back healthy, he could be big for us. If anyone has the potential to come back from a injury like this it's Steve.
