Rereading this old thread is a great reminder of how spectacular this trade is. Aside from Gater, who must have some dark-magic crystal ball, NO ONE really thought that we'd get equal value for Stevie. I sure didn't. A week later and I'm still buzzed.

Thanks guys...maybe I do need to re-think the habit of getting quick picks for my Lottery tickets.... I had forgotten about this one, but myself, aelliott and a few others have a tip jar bet with someone in another thread preceeding this one over Francis being traded. I've been holding back until the trade is legally official before I resurrect that one. (It's bookmarked, aelliott... ....nice to think it was for a good cause!). My hopes are that fans will give Yao and T-Mac a period of adjustment to each other and the Rox management time to fill out the roster with complimentary players. Go Rockets!
I think i was the first one to make the bet with you, I am always a rocket fan first....I just really liked steve....Players come and go, but the rockets will be here forever, or untill les wants something else

Funny to read this now. Congrats Gator. If memory serves there was a thread here around midseason where a few brave souls that throught T-Mac was through with Orlando - and we might be able to land him. But it was in one of numerous SF bashing threads and I couldn't find it.
