I don’t think he will last beyond this season. Yes, he’s encountered a lot of difficulties with all the injuries and trades but this is crazy. I have never seen a team this bad. He needs to go.
I agree, sadly. I was super excited about Silas, but this is unwatchable, there were better college teams this weekend. Embarrassing. I don't think you can lose this much games and pretend it won't matter if you are not having accountability.
The losing sucks but his body language is worst and it's rubbing off on the entire team. I remember had a post game press conference after a blow out loss and didn't look up the entire time.
I think he’ll a mulligan this year but if he can’t develop the young talent, especially if we get a top pick, they’ll have to move on next year.
How are you faulting this on him? What coach would be winning games with this Roster? Name one thing this team is good at? Not to mention shorten season with Covid and no practice time. What is he really suppose to do?
No, but he probably should. Granted, he dealt with injuries and losing the second best player in franchise history, but the team is not even competing and it's embarrassing.
It’s not like we are trying to tank purposefully like Hinkie did. This team still had some very capable players in Wall, Oladipo and Gordon but every loss was double digit loss. I can accept losing but the games weren’t even competitive. Heck I looked up Sam Hinkie’s Sixers’ game log and I was shocked to see they actually had a lot of close losses. No way this team should be worse than the Sixers. https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/PHI/2016/gamelog/
if the team has expectations and is hoping to make the playoffs next season, then yes, he’ll be fired if they realize their position and recognize that this is a full on rebuild, then no
the team barely has good nba players, no nba caliber center, and a bunch of undrafted players and g-league players.
Hell no I wouldn't put this on Silas. The one you should blame is Fern t*** and his luxury tax savings plan.
