well, that applies to every sports team.

 

1 or 2 maybe ....you had at least 5

 

If LeBron stays healthy...
If Wade stays healthy...
If Bosh stays healthy...
If Riley can find a good supporting cast...
If Spolstra can tie together that team...

Miami has just as many ifs as we, and yet they are destined to win it all over 7 times...

If Kobe stays healthy...
If Kobe stops raping...
If Artest does not get technical happy...
If Bynum stays healthy...
If DFish stays...

Every team has ifs. At the end of the day, with all this analysis and high level of thought, every game has a 50/50 ending, its just a game of chance when all is said and done.

 

come on...are you seriously suggesting the Rockets have the same chance of winning the NBA Finals as the Heat do?

this isn't what is meant when we talk about question marks....it's not to put "will he stay healthy" by every player on the roster...that's a given, anyway.

we have 2 key contributors who have a history of health issues...one of whom has been out of for the past season and is coming off surgery. that kinda weights the question mark a bit. also...we don't have 2 other top 10-15 caliber players on our roster to try to pick up the slack if our best player goes down.

games don't have a 50/50 ending....but if you wanna bet on games, please hit me up with an email each week. i'll be happy to take the lakers everytime they play the clippers this year, if you really believe the 50/50 thing.

 

Why not? By the time training camp rolls around Yao will have been off the basketball floor for a full year and a half....plenty of time for that big body to heal fully and completely. I think that 20-25 MPG is BS. I'm ready to see the 25 PPG Yao we saw before the freak broken leg.

 

You could argue that Aaron kept us afloat like Pre-Gasol Kobe. We had similar records. At least not far off.
One more thing : Our bench is going to keep us alive. Notice what Suns bench did.

 

We have a chance this year to be serious play off contenders even without Yao for some games. We are that stacked IMHO.
To win a championship we need only one or two near allstar level players more.

 

I honestly believe the Rockets are 1 or 2 players away from a Championship. Not neccesarily superstar players.
