Beat me to it. But with Ariza and Lowry back, it will lower his stats some. I hope he wins so we can trade him for a bigger fish. For sure Brooks is a diamond in the rough for Morey, but I can't stand his selfish azz no more.
Landry is gone so you can scratch 6th Man of the Year award off the list, the only one I see us maybe getting some votes is GM of the Year for DM, but thats about it.
Maybe, but Brooks has improved much more in my opinion. Bogut has started 311 games and it's taken him this long to get some real improvement. He really has only increased his PPG from last year along with his blocks. Brooks has increased every aspect of his game scoring/passing etc...in his first full year as a starter and our go to guy.
I think both Morey should be under consideration for GM of the year - but I doubt he'll get it. I think Brooks is the only person with any chance.
Sadly probably won't happen. Probably end up going to the Cavs for the Jamison trade. I'm sure there are some other ones that aren't at the top of my head right now, maybe Cuban pulling the Butler trade. Unless Kevin Martin carries us somehow deep into the playoffs this year I don't see DM winning the award. Normally it takes a championship caliber team to win the award. And that is frankly something we aren't right now. Maybe next year though
Our biggest chance to get an award would be the Most Improved Player for Aaron Brooks. It would really be a nice achievement indeed.
