i know he made good grades because he was editor of harvard law review. so no i'm not disappointed. believe me, if he didn't have good grades you would know. its only news if they don't such as the cheerleader
Who cares about his transcripts? The guy is a 3 term governor. His record is more than enough to make a judgement about him. Transcripts only matter for people you know nothing about so you need to resort to things like college grades to make a determination about someone's intelligence. In Perry's case, we have plenty of relevant info to go off of.

I am on my phone so do not want to deal but there is a Slate article about his prayer rally that agrees he is the inevitable frontrunner.
30 years after the fact when there are more substantive metrics to go by, yeah I think it's dumb and lazy journalism.
when running for highest office in land, entire life from college on is examined and its no different in this case. john mcain was navy cadet and pilot. george bush was cheerleader. obama was editor of harvard law review. clinton was a rhodes scholar. on and on
Rick Perry's great. His solution for the nation's issues is a prayer rally. Why don't we have some rain dance and human (or at least goat) sacrifice to address the drought and heat situation while we are at it with this intervention from above thing.
I think you're onto something here. As funny as I thought it was at first, given the odds we might face for solving our problems through the current system of governance, I'm up for new mysterious rituals, voodoo, Mayan, old Celt, whatever. Sign me up.

First he called Bachmann to run, then Santorum and now Perry. Just like the republican party, it sounds like God is confused about who he wants to run for president.
A side note on Mr Perry's gathering this weekend. Prayer Rally Dwarfed By Texans Who Flock To Nearby Convention Center, Desperate For Free School Supplies Houston’s biggest gathering on Saturday didn’t see national television news crews. It didn’t draw out protestors. It didn’t spark its own Twitter handle. And the event — which attracted an estimated 100,0000 people to a convention center just seven miles down the road from Gov. Rick Perry (R) and The Response prayer rally — had nothing to do with religion and everything to do with Texas families struggling through hard economic times: “Some families camped out for hours to gain admittance into Houston’s first-ever, citywide back-to-school event at George R. Brown Convention Center, where free backpacks, school supplies, uniforms, haircut vouchers, immunizations, and fresh produce were provided. Others were turned away. “It was getting beyond capacity,” [Houstan Independent School District] spokesman Jason Spencer said. “If nothing else, it shows the need.”
