Since you left me out, I'll offer an obvious diagnosis for myself: I am, once again, right in the middle. Just like my politics. Weird, huh?
I'm not sure he was literally lying since he didn't say Obama said it but that he thought it. So he didn't quite lie, he just apparently believes he can read the president's mind. Somebody send a psych bus for this guy, stat.
And what about his behavior has been any different than any other president? I mean the last one said the country would be easier to run if it was a dictatorship and he was the dictator. I don't think Mr. Obama has said anything to that affect.
Such as,Oh Wise One? How have you determined using your infinite wisdom and Free Republic that Obama thinks he is God? Oh, and of course all those who disagree with you are megalomaniacs - it's glad to see such moderation and virtue, just as Jesus said that everyone should throw stones at the bad guy.
Ah, so the accurate version of your statement would be: See the difference between stating your opinion as an opinion and stating your opinion as fact? I know that for Fox News viewers such as yourself, the subtleties may be hard to spot, but they are there.
I'm thrilled that someone will now go around correcting everyone in the D&D that posts their opinion without clarifying it as such. A great day for the D&D! No more declaratory statements against anyone without "I think" or "In my opinion" in front of them!
um, when you're countering a dumb**** argument comparing someone literally saying they were called by god to run for president to someone using ambitious language in their inaugural like, say every other president, the difference needs to be pointed out. if gwayneco wasn't blinded by hate and didn't suffer from a terrible case of diarrhea of the fingers, the previous post wouldn't be necessary.
Exactly. Comparing the words that actually emerged from Perry's mouth to the facts that exist only in your imagination is ridiculous. The day Obama says he is a deity is the day when gwayneco's statement is apropos. Until then, it's just brainless sniping based on personal bias, and adds nothing substantive to the D&D.

What can I say: it's a good look for him... Although, even as one of them damn lib'rals, I gotta admit this is kinda funny:
speaking of perry and religion. perry is having a massive prayer vigil or whatever. so on the website for the event, it had a link to some religious figures showing up. well apparently these guys have some crazy views, like one guy thinks oprah is involved with the anti christ (seriously). so the web site handlers hid the link, it used to be on the front page. apparently perry is trying to make himself electable. you can't make this stuff up. sidenote, i don't always agree with rachel maddow but her show is freakin great <object width="420" height="245" id="msnbc95b0f2" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=10,0,0,0"><param name="movie" value="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640" /><param name="FlashVars" value="launch=43833977&width=420&height=245" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><embed name="msnbc95b0f2" src="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640" width="420" height="245" FlashVars="launch=43833977&width=420&height=245" allowscriptaccess="always" allowFullScreen="true" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></embed></object><p style="font-size:11px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #999; margin-top: 5px; background: transparent; text-align: center; width: 420px;">Visit msnbc.com for <a style="text-decoration:none !important; border-bottom: 1px dotted #999 !important; font-weight:normal !important; height: 13px; color:#5799DB !important;" href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com">breaking news</a>, <a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032507" style="text-decoration:none !important; border-bottom: 1px dotted #999 !important; font-weight:normal !important; height: 13px; color:#5799DB !important;">world news</a>, and <a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032072" style="text-decoration:none !important; border-bottom: 1px dotted #999 !important; font-weight:normal !important; height: 13px; color:#5799DB !important;">news about the economy</a></p>

Absolutely, I vote for outcomes, not people. A preference is not a commitment, that's what the campaign is for. From a economic policy perspective I love Cain's ideas (http://www.fairtax.org), but in this Jeopardy/soundbite driven media, he is not disciplined enough and has said some strange things on noneconomic matters, to put it kindly. I've never liked Newt. I like Bachmann but would prefer an executive.
