Didn't he miss 2 series last year, the Portland and the LA series?

Ok. I stand corrected. He played every series except those 2 last year. OK?

This answer is soo simple. We need Tmac for two reasons, the first being as a closer in the 4th quarter maybe as a point guard more likely shooting guard to win the game. Second reason to jump start the team when they are being mauled by someone.
What we dont need him for, to take worthless shots. He has to keep his shooting percentage in line with the team. We dont need him to destroy his body playing the type of defense p[layed in the NBA today.

Its mean that when the clock was running out all the team did was give it to T-Mac and let him take a difficult shoot a really low percentage shoot. With this team he won't have that problem because we looking to score quick instead of draining down the clock in a HC offense looking to post Yao and when it didn't happen he was ask to bail the team down.

Look when the clock is running down how bad Houston offense struggles to take a good shoot, but is not lay in one guy, sometime is Brook, sometime Ariza or any other player, so the bad low percentage shoot are spread over multiples player don't hurting his FG% that much. Tell Brook to take all the bad shoot whit the clock running down and see how bad his percentage will look.

Pls don't judge T-Mac before he can at least play a game. Do make conclusion just like many where judging how bad Houston will be without their superstar before we play no even one game.

T-Mac will ring deep, we can't count we will be healthy all season we, just saw how a simple twist of the ankle on a rookie can hurt the team. Image is Brook have to miss a few games. T-Mac will bring size and rebounding, his been a great defensive rebounder for his position. he will bring a go to guy other than Brooks, or his play making ability, and believe it or not he is a good mid range shooter. I can see him close to a tipple double every game while taking less shoot. he show that on a few game he was kind of healthy last year.

I reserve my judgment until I see him play a few games in this particular team.

    *sigh*

Dude, what I'm trying to get at is, trust me, I want the SAME exact thing you do, we both root for the same team.

But please be realistic here. Tim Grover saying something doesn't mean anything btw, how many times have we heard mac saying he was "Back?"
Tracy's ceiling will be at 18ppg next season, he can choose to do that efficiently by driving to the basket and drawing fouls (as he always should have), or he can settle for 30 foot bricks all day and prove me right. Either way he is not going to get more than 10 shots per game. And if he ever decides to hold the ball for 10 seconds and run the shot clock down, despite playing into the offense. I want to see adelman benching his ass right away.

tim grover hasn't been wrong so far. look at all his clients, even freakin' jermaine o'neal, who has had more severe knee problems.

grover is not going to ruin his reputation by pumping up tracy mcgrady. his reputation speaks for itself.

again, he will be back in a month so we'll see then. if he plays for us, i hope he helps the team. if not, i hope he gets traded for someone who will.

I won't give you the video, but the game is on my DVR and I saw the same thing two or three times (I frequently rewatch the games). Some have used the shoot around video from the last game to point out that Tracy looked to be getting in game shape (I saw it and didn't think it showed a whole heck of a lot), but I was far more impressed with the Spazz game clip rockets2 brought up. Hell, if Tracy was 100%, that workout regimen would have been a brutal thing to go through. I was amazed.

Completely agree, but I can tell you without a slight bit of doubt, mcgrady will end up getting injured again. This of course he can not control, but the trend over the last couple of seasons is doomed to repeat itself, as with Yao of course too.

Yeah the jumping up the steps one leg at a time was impressive.

that's why i advocate just trading those 2 guys and just start over by sucking a few years. but it's not going to happen.

however, unlike popular belief on here, tracy can play through injuries. he has had many times in his houston career. unless it's a severe injury, he can play through them just fine. i don't expect him to miss many games this year when he returns.

No kidding. I'm not sure if I could have done that when I was 20, much less after having that kind of surgery.

What I still see in mcgrady, which is also the reason he is was such a special player coming into the 97' draft were his handles. He was just some highschool SF with great length, but what impressed everybody was how well he could handle the ball at that size, and that he could play PG at times. KD has the same size and length, and you can see that he has difficulty some times as well.

When Tmac1 posted that vid yesterday, I saw that he still had that. It is also Ariza's #1 weakness, if he could handle the ball better, he would have a much better first step and be able to beat his man to the basket.

Ok then, extremely negative. And when we look at your history on here concerning T-Mac, we find nothing but negativity even when you offer some sort of compliment.

Only the last year, when you get hammered enough, at some point you move on....

That happened for me with him last year.

Hmm, seems good, I would thank you a lot if you posted the video but its fine Deckard. Does he jump on the stairs going up on only one leg? I just tried going up my stairs with 1 leg and it was VERY tough. I'm in really good shape as well. I also tried going up the stairs by doing 2 steps with left, 2 with right and it was easier but still worked me a lot.

Looked like it was 2 or 3 steps on one leg, and then about the same on the other, alternating. You could easliy see that he was busting his arse to do it. I was surprised at the effort, and a little surprised the video clip isn't around here, somewhere.

Yep, that is what I remember too.

Honestly, it looked good....but the key will be whether it translates into effort on both offense and defense and whether it translates into running and basketball shape.

Because half speed on D or O, would kill this team....
