how r****ded was that last time.. pay per view good to see rockets organization has come to their senses.
i think i read that they'll be on both TNT and Channel 51 regardless. I could be completely wrong though so
Question if anybody knows this .... I am out of town and watch all the Rox games via League Pass. My understanding is that the League Pass doesnt do any playoff games. Is it possible that some of the games won't be on ESPN, TNT, or ABC? If it is, that means people outside Houston would not be able to watch the game at all right? I am going to be very upset if I am able to watch all 82 games all year, then the first game i miss is in the playoffs
someone correct me if i'm wrong..BUT ..i remwmber hearing TNT put out ads with the quote "TNT..home of the western conference playoffs" so i'm quessing TNT shows every western coference playoffS?
I recall that too, BUT I think it was of the Western Conference Finals..... I could be wrong though. I hope TNT has allthe playoff games.
You guys actually had games on PPV? Why?!? I knew Portland had something like that, but why do they do it? Didn't part of the 1997 WCF play on PPV in Houston too? I swear I remember reading something about that a long time ago.
No the way it used to be was that the first 2 rounds would have PPV for the home games that were not on NBC. All games that were on NBC could not have PPV, and since all the WCF games were on NBC back then, they couldn't charge PPV.
Yeah it said the WCF only. They were talking about how they were going to be simulcasting the whole series in High-Def on NBA TV as well, like they did with the All-Star game. Hopefully all the games will make it out to those of us that are not lucky enough to be in H-Town ... I will not be a happy person if I can't watch a playoff game
Ah, thanks! It must have been 1998, when the Jazz and Rockets played in the first round. Anyway, that still must have sucked. I don't think I could have lived without watching the Jazz during the playoffs.
Also to expand on what I said above: Ever since the NBA dumped NBC and went with ABC, it's harder to gauge what games would and wouldn't be on TV. Back in the 90s NBC did the early day weekend playoff games, TNT and TBS did the night games. It was as simple as that. Now all this crap about TNT only showing west games? What about the east?
I am sure that TNT paid big money to make sure they got the western conference since they are the big ticket now in the NBA.
