Thats what almost all teams would do. Including a JVG coached team. There is no need to hurt any key player. (Especially Suns who finally have fully healthy team to make run in playoffs, they haven't had in last 2 years. (1 year Matrix was semi injured, next it was Amare).

thats a mistake... no need to give the other team any more minutes than we need too...

if anything we should play without a true center... and run and gun with the reserves...

Suns got nth to fight for, in fact, their 2nd place has been secured. Only for this reason, I dont think Suns will play hard. But there is a possibility that Suns want to swept us for 4-0. ... then they will play hard...

    Who knows for now...

Phoenix knows that Mavs are going to get to the Western Conference Finals, regardless of who comes out of the 4th and 5th seed series, but I hope D'Antonio will want the Rockets to get out of the first round to give the Mavs a hard time so that they will be tired by the WCF. Adding that the suns lock up 2nd seed, maybe he'll rest his starters early. Hope his mind works that way.

i think maybe dada you are bored and maybe over think the situation.

im pretty sure the suns will try to win. and the starters will play, but with slightly reduced minutes.

    and thats pretty much it

I think Phoenix will defintely rest, but Barbosa is what killed us last time. We actually did a pretty good job on Nash. Amare and Matrix won't play a lot probably, if at all. We will go full strength and beat them and then go all scrubs wed. vs Utah.

i hope they go easy on us, but i'm not so sure they will for the same reason the mavs didn't go easy on the spurs: there's a three to four day layoff between the end of the season and start of the playoffs, so they may play to win to stay sharp and keep their rhythm.

I wouldn't be so sure. I think the Rockets are going to give Dallas ALL they want and more. When we have Yao AND Tmac, we give problems and we can beat them in a series. We have a much better team than in 05 when we should have swept them, and they basically have the same team they had, although improved defensively.

First things first - beat the j*zz.

You play to win the game.

It's hard to take a team that has won 60 games and tell them to go soft against a team they may face in the playoffs.

They may -but they may also go all out - in which case they might play more minutes then you expect. They may think it's a mistake to let the Rockets feel they can beat the Suns. You just don't know.

But our guys have to play hard. We need to win tomorrow. A win guarantees us hca. If won game can do that for you - you have to win it.

D'Antonio is such an a**hole who might be happier to see his team blow Rockets 4 times in a row than anything else. With him, you cannot be reasoning. Thats why I suppose they will go all out.

What kind of question is this? we need to win to get the HCA, not to wait for the favor from Suns. It doesn't matter whether we pass the first round or not as long as we fight hard.

worst case scenario, suns go hard for the sweep and they treat the game like a playoffs dress rehearsal.

I really doubt nash plays in this game because of how old he is and he's little nagging injuries.

I can also see stoudamire getting some rest due to his recent knee injury and he has sat out some games this season.

Other than those two I think the Suns will play all their guys. But we can beat phoenix without nash and amare.

For whatever reason, I think most people thought the question was "What do you want the Suns do in Monday's game?"

Close but not exactly... You dont want Howard starting.

    1. Lucas
    2. Vspan
    3. Snyder
    4. Novak
    5. Big Jake

no backup guards, just go big and take either vspan or lucas out. as the game goes on.

But seriously about this matchup. Phoenix has gone hard the whole season they only have 2 games left, its not like when Dallas Clinches with almost 8 games to go. They definately have some players that can use rest. Its an away game for them, they arn't worried about home fans either, its definately a situation they are going to take advantage of, as we will do against utah if we can win this game.

IF i were phoenix i'd definately wouldn't play Nash at all, I'd give them limited minutes to Amare and Marion if not play them at all. You could start :

    1. Marcus Banks
    2. Leandro Barbosa
    3. Jalen Rose
    4. Boris Diaw
    5. Kenny Thomas

That is what i'm hoping to see on the court tomorrow. I'd keep Barbosa cause i dont think he gets tired, i'd try and Showcase banks in this game as he will be traded. Rose and Thomas might be needed in the playoffs for some limited minutes might as well get the cobwebs off, and Diaw gives Yao fits so i would keep him out there cause it helps their chances of actually wining the game and he cane use some more minutes
