It's wild how guys like him can have such a terrible attitude. There's SO MUCH money at stake, even if you're not a superstar. If he did the little things, was a good teammate, passed the ball, there's no doubt he has the talent to have a 10 year nba career and make serious money. At it is, if he's outa the nba at 28 i wouldn't be surprised.
I don’t know if he’s not a good teammate. He still high fives guys and claps etc. he’s always been a stoic guy though. There may be something more behind the scenes I dunno. What I do know is like you said he doesn’t do the little things. Misses the details. Doesn’t put effort into playing all aspects of the game except for one on one ball.
Bruv it's flat out crazy how high you have to hold the shield up to invoke Kobe Bean Bryant in this discussion. He's just Cam Whitmore. A beyond raw, athletically gifted numbskull with a pouting problem. He plays like something was promised and not delivered, and also that something isn't himself.
I am a big fan of Cam and wish we could have found a way to develop him, but it looks like he is on his way out. After his social media stunt this past weekend and his body language all season, I don't think the Rockets are going to play around with guys like this unless they are bonified superstars. Hopefully they learned something from the KPJ situation, Cam has not done anything nearly as bad, but coddling these types of players is not worth it. Hopefully we can at least get back what we put into him which is a top 20 pick.
[ No one is expecting him to have the maturity of a seasoned vet but my question is whether or not he’s coachable on and off the court. Is he learning from his mistakes, listening to the coaches & vets, watching film— doing the work to earn a spot? When he decided to enter the draft, that’s what he was getting himself into. Who knows, I know there’s the medical reports, but maybe he went 20th because other teams noticed something during his interviews.
Sasser is not on the same level as Cam. I think Cam's only problem is maturity and since he's 19-20. I really don't see that as a major problem. If he was 24-25, it would be different

agree with that. I just feel he knows we are wasting his time here and will probably pop off. Dude I’m looking at the draft list, most the first rounders before and right after him are legit nba players. my thing is, if cam can’t handle udoka…. Who can handle him?
I was talking about Kobe at 19-20.....I am using him as an example of why you don't judge players at such a young age for their behavior. I can't believe I have to explain context so much around here....our education system really does need an overhaul. DD
