    My dream draft would be:
    Cousins
    George
    Henry
    Whiteside
If we don't get Cousins then Alabi.
Is that too much. A championship team of the future.

Unless we move in the draft I doubt it. This isn't late first-round or 2nd round picks, it's easier to predict what kind of picks teams will make.
This is of course, unless we don't trade up/down, which I think we will (20% chance of trading up, 80% trading down).

I think at 14 Morey isn't going to reach badly.

He's too good a GM to pull that Houston Texans stuff now. It's ok to reach in the late first early second because 1. you never know what other teams are thinking by that point, everyone is shooting for the moon, and 2. there's no such thing as a reach at that point, it's not like you'll be picking again later on, your only hope is to find a player that could make your rotation.

But in the lottery? Morey is NOT going to let the value of his pick go to waste. He either picks someone that would be good value there and then hoards him for his trade value, or he moves the pick to a range where he thinks the player we really want will be available.

Coal is black. Cole is white. Maybe THAT is the WTF moment?

'Hey, I thought Coal was black!'

I wouldn't be surprised for us to go for James Anderson from Ok State. He's a very efficient scorer, and can give us some help off the bench.

I agree with you in principle, but it's hard to extend that out to 14th pick. For example, would Whiteside, Sanders, James Anderson be considered reaches at that pick?

The thing is that Morey obviously has some very different draft charts from your typical mocks. For example, he had Jordan Hill much later than where all the mocks had the guy. So if Morey has someone graded high enough, but no everyone else thinks he's 20-30 range, why risk moving down?

If that happened... I'd be happy as hell. Avery Bradley is tenacious on the defensive end, and he's got the talent to be a pretty good offensive player. He just needs to develop some consistency. Give him some time (which he'll definitely have, considering all of the wing players the Rockets have now) and he can turn into a really good player.

Obviously, a legitimate Center prospect would be #1 choice.... but if that can't happen, then I'm all for Avery Bradley.

Of course, I'm a Longhorns fan, so I may be biased.

Dude Bradley was a huge disappointment. He was supposed to be the #1 prospect behind Wall. What we got was a streaky shooter who disappeared for long stretches. His D is overrated as well - remember that Wake player that drove right by him for the game winner in the tourney? Not to mention he only shot like 52% from the FT line. Unacceptable.

Bradley should have stayed in school another year.

If DM doesn't pick post player to help us in the frontcourt then I hope he drafts Avery Bradley. He's got an upside of a Monta Ellis but he's actually a very good defender. He has the speed, he has the quickness and the hops. Easily one of the best athletes in the draft. Has a good jumper. Is short for the 2 guard but has long arms to make up for it. Don't know if he can play the point but he says he can, so he could possibly be a combo guard in the league and insurance if Lowry isn't here next season.

I personally like Hassan Whiteside. He's a TRUE Center who has potential to be the next DEKE... 5.4 blocks per game??? That's freakin crazy!! I keep hearing that his stock is dropping, but dude's got a nice tough and would be a great defensive presence.

He would be a great backup to Yao...or we could even go big and create the next "Twin Towers". That's a HUGE front line that players would have trouble scoring on.

A bench with Scola, Hill, Lowry, Budinger, and Battier...that's a SOLID bench that can compete with any team.

Hey, I'm not denying that. That's why I said he has the POTENTIAL to be pretty good on offense.

Oh give me a break. The guy didn't drive "right by him." Avery stayed in front of him the whole time. Ishmael Smith is just clutch as hell and hit a stop and pop jumper. Bradley played 42 minutes in that game, and STILL played good defense on that guy. It was just a clutch shot.

Not denying that... although, it's not like he can't improve on it. LaMarcus Aldridge shot like 62% from the free throw line in college, and now he's a 76% free throw shooter in the NBA. Does that mean Bradley will automatically improve? No, he'll have to work at it, but I think he's capable of it.

At this point, I don't agree with that. Rick Barnes is completely falling off the high mountain he used to be on. If Bradley comes to the Rockets, he'll have plenty of time to develop, and he'll have the coaching staff to help bring him along.

Plus, getting him will give the Rockets a little more piece of mind to trade one of their young wing players in a deal.

If he selects Cole Aldrich, I'm done. Just what we need another undersized center to back up Yao. The dude is only 6'9", yea with shoes he's 6'10.5". This will not work. The jump shot seems to fall, but he needs 12 seconds to get it off. That will not work in the L.

SAY NO TO COLE ALDRICH, PLEASE.

He will get a backup C in FA (B Miller). We still have J Hill on the team and he is taller than 6'6.

I think if he can't get into the top 4 to get Cousins or Favors, he will go another direction with our pick.

Yeah I'm worried about Barnes as well. Last year was a disaster watching the team get worse as the season went on. But Bradley still isn't ready for the NBA. If you go back and watch the Texas-Ok State game, it's clear that James Anderson was the best player on the floor, followed by Damion James. Bradley has a LOT of work to do on many parts of his game.

If you want to talk about Horns, it may be worth inviting Dexter Pittman to our summer league as an undrafted FA. If someone can motivate his fat ass, he might be an adequate backup C.
