If he slips by the Bears, I think you have to take a chance. His days as a 25+ attempt guy are absolutely behind him, but there's almost no way he isn't a better option than Delhomme or Clemens.
He doesn't have to go to the Bears. Remember Cutler is coming back. I know in his heart he wants to battle fight and prove the critics wrong.
Ehh He got released in favor of Christian Ponder and in Washington they'd rather have Rex Grossman..(a former Texans backup).
Not only would he not work here, the management and coaches wouldn't want him, and we're too far down the waiver list anyway.
Don't forget that he ran a similar system while in Washington under Shanahan. I'd drop Clemens and pick him up if possible.
