Hasn't he done that already over and over again? Even in the NBA his performance was elite in the second half of last season.

Scola should do very well in the NBA this upcoming season. Since he and Yao proved in their last playoffs together that they can be a devastating front court duo with tremedous chemistry. All they need is a pg who can run the offense well and pass to them on time and on target and all bets are off.

and yet spurs fans are still butthurt over the trade, hence the 24/7 access

admit it, not having scola might have costed you at least one title

ha you tell me 13 years ago when we drafted duncan we would 4 championships and be a contender pretty much every year duncan has been on the spurs I would laugh

2008 maybe but kobe was the main problem

2009 dirk was the problem and ginobili was out for the season with an injury

2010 suns role players were killing us over with the 3's

so not too sure how scola would help besides offense wise, I still believe Splitter is better defensivly cause his size but scola would be the best person next to duncan since robinson left and scola, splitter and duncan would of been truly scary

but well see how they do when they play each other tuesday

DD...is that you? Or someone else is drinkin some of his kool-aid...Splitter hasnt proved anything yet on the only level that matters to Rockets (or Spurs) fans, which is the NBA level.

Stop talking like Splitter is some amazing player...no one knows either way until he steps foot on the court...until then Scola > Splitter every day of the week.

Luis is a world class player, that is out of discussion, the difference is the level of competition at FIBA tournaments and NBA, and the role in our national team and rockets. He just has different roles at different teams, but im sure he could be a top player in the league given the opportunity and the responsability to do it.

Scola averaging 28.3 points and 8.2 rebounds, shooting 84.8% from the FT and having a FG % of 59.6.

    Those are nice numbers.

IMHO your team's desire to dump Jackie Butler cost you two, maybe three titles at least. Scola would have thrived in Pop's system, and him and Duncan would have been twin towers part 2. Add Splitter and that other dude you drafted (at least until he gets a career injury) and it would have been a championship frontcourt for the next half decade or so. IMHO Scola+Duncan>Bynum+Gasol.

I only want him being healthy all the next season. I don't care about whether he get the FIBA MVP. I hope next time he would quit the national team like Manu does.
