after lookin at this series of games, it really shows how much our team really stinks outside of yao and tmac, but as long as we had yao n tmac we still won games, 21-8 for the season. Now just imagine, o by the way we did not have rafer alston yet, now just imagine instead of wesley...juwon...etc., we had some quality players, including a much better and more consistant yao....there is no reason for us not to be able to go all the way defeating these so called mavs, in the next year or 2

I'm telling you, next year's our year. It'll earn JVG another contract and Morey will be talked about around sports.

In that game 6 against the clippers didnt t-mac score 21 or 23 in the first quarter! I thought he was gonna break his carrer high that day, that would have been something to see! I remember that, t-mac was lights out that first quarter. he scored like 3 in the second, but only end up with like 28 or 29

Do anybody think T-mac will break his carrer high in houston?

His career high is like 62, so probably not. He may not even hit 50 again.

i think his highest scoring with houston is 48 pts or 49pts he scored against dallas, but dirk had 51 pts the same night.

Add Mike James back and one more scorer to this club and keep Yao and Tracy healthy, and you will see plenty of scoring from a Van Gundy team.

You are right. The graph clearly shows Dumpy as a good offensive coach. In his eight years of coaching he has been a top sixteen offense a whole ONE mother freakin time.

None of this crap about the players he has is going to work on me. He has a direct hand in the players that he chooses. And he chooses to pick over the hill defensive minded players.

For 5 games in his eight season career he showed that he is an offensive genius!!! If a coach can't help a team with Yao and Tmac score a 100 points a game than he sucks anyways.

You Dumpy lovers get over yourself. Last year it was "Gumby has never failed to qualify for the playoffs." What is it this year?

That idiot has the first 10-20 in the upcoming season. If he fails to for any reason then he should and will be canned for the b*stard that he is.

In retrospect, I think JVG was a bad choice for the Rockets. I suspect that next season will be his last. All the "ole Knick" deals were just ridiculous. Ewing as an asst. coach, come on. Three year contract to Charlie Ward who was buried on the Spurs bench at the time. From Strickland to Spoon, just crazy. He is smart but just too committed to old buds and his antiquated offensive system.

Few years ago everyone wants to build a team like the pistons.. spurs whatever..

Now build one like the Mavs.. make up your mind..

Trying to change Yao into a Dirk type players lmao.

JVG is a great coach and has a great set up on how his teams are, just wait till next year.

what? this year he led us to a spectacular 34-48 record, he lost a 2-0 playoff lead after winning the first two games on the road. He trades the 3rd best scorer from 2005 for a past first point-guard with the shooting range of Shaquille O'neal. He turned charlie ward & patrick ewing into a repected coaches..
