i dont know how tinman is allowed to get away with these type of posts. the biggest troll i've ever seen on any forum. all he does is try to incite other posters into some baiting match, with out of the blue random ass posts.

i almost have to question if he's a rockets fan anymore. all he talks about is the past to somehow validate he's a true rockets fan, which means he can get away with bashing current players, or recent players...and even celebrating losses. like that post he had "losing the poll, like losing game 7 v the mavericks" you realize the rockets as a team lost that game, right? by 40 points? and that's something you bring up like it's some sort of individual thing that you take pride in because tmac was involved in a loss, when our entire team lost. what a ****er. i hated that game, the game 7 in 2007, yet it seems you love that stuff. nothing was worse feeling than 97 though :(

a rockets fan now my ass. inb4 a moses video, or akeem video from the 80's. i love those guys too, but i don't piss on current rockets or past rockets as much as you do.

The Tracy fans don't want you to remember game 7.
Rockets fans remember all the games.

That was sign one that he might not be the superstar we needed.

You must purposely miss my Dwight threads.

Ok, I want Jeremy Lin to break mcgradys second round record this year.

How do you like them apples ?

lol 2005 there were no signs. if im rememberin it...tmac didn't play well in that game 7, but he and yao combined for 60 of our 76 points. 2007 is where we learned more. tmac and yao underachieved in that series. tmac was inefficient. he was good in game 7, but settled for jumpers late. and yao was a turnover machine and was inefficient for his standards in that series too. the supporting cast sucked too to be fair (head was like the third option, sigh..), but rockets still shoulda won that series.

There is no shoulda , that's Tracy mcgrady mentality.
    Speak with Hakeem mentality.

Tracy fans loved Jvg, but that was Jeff's offense to get tmac the ball all the time, what did that do?

Then we got rick who preferred motion and lots of passing, they won a series based on the system despite tmac rehabbing his lazy ass with Tim Grover .

We won a series with Ron artest as our second best player.

i agree tmac was lazy in the off-season rehab going into the 09 season. it's why i have mixed feelings bout him.

but i think it's a bit biased to say it was a pure difference in styles for why we advanced in 09 opposed to previous years

first of all, iono if you remember, but tmac started that season real hot. he had like 30 pts on opening night, 47 the next night, and was ballin to start the year in 08. he was really buying into adelmans system. then he got hurt v. the lakers with his shoulder iirc, and that piled with his knee injuries made him brutally inefficient. but yao got hurt in game 12 of our win streak... we won 22 games in a row, with tmac playin in 21 of em doing like 22/6/5 iirc. and don't forget we didn't have rafer for the first 2 games of that series. when rafer came back in game 3, we beat the jazz @ utah. and were a potential mistake away of not having deke in for game 4 from stealin that game too. then we blew em out in game 5, and in game 6, rafer got hurt again. as sad as it sounds rafer was the rox only other ball handler at the time, and bobby jackson was terrible. and brooks didn't get mins, irrc .

and besides, we could run a more diff system, because we had a lot more talent in 09. instead of battier, juwan/chuck and rafer as integral parts, we had brooks, lowry, landry, scola, artest with battier and chuckwagon. it's real unfortunate the injuries we had to tmac, but mainly yao and deke in that playoff run.

anyways, my point is tmac was playing adelmans system and was putting up monster stats before the injuries. and then when he came back, we still reeled off a 22 game win streak with him playing well. so with more talent, it's obvious we could run a more movement based system and have success. the jvg era, tmac was so far and ahead our best playmaker, that giving him the ball was the best option...tho i agree we coulda mixed it up a bit. he had too much responsibility.

    but w/e

What makes me laugh most about Tinman is the fact he elevates himself above everyone else because he is from the old school era making him the biggest Houston fan going around and that he must take it upon himself to school everyone about Rocket's history.

Talk about a deluded self sense of importance...........
