This guy can be the next DeSean Jackson minus the special teams play. And if Ervin doesn't pan out, maybe a splitting image.
Re-watched the game watching mostly Fuller and the other WR's to a lesser extent. First thing, this first three catches were nice hands only catches - two down low in front of him and one he high-pointed. Congrats to him, that really shows he was working hard. He didn't have three catches like that in any game last year, much less three in a row. I was as critical of his hands as anybody, and he's really improved in that category. He's got a long way to go, but it's clear he's working hard on it. Now, a cautionary note. The Bears really have 2 CB's on their roster. Kyle Fuller gets beat, but he has 1st round talent. But Fuller was injured and didn't play. Their #2 corner is Tracy Porter was a 2nd round pick and has nine seasons under his belt. He's not very good, but he had some talent once and he has experience. Porter played the strong side all day and lined up across DeAndre Johnson most of the day. They put Fuller on the weak side where he was alone for a few scattered plays, and when they did Porter lined up opposite him, so it wasn't any kind of slight, thats just how it worked out - they matched guys up based on position on the field, not who they were playing against. Bears started the game with Jacoby Glenn, a 2nd year UFA out of UCF on Fullerm and Glenn logged the most time opposite him. He didn't play at all last year. The last time he played in a real game, he lined up against NC State in the St. Petersburg Bowl after a run of games against "directional schools" - East Carolina, South Florida, etc. Glenn is the guy who batted the ball on that first TD attempt. All things considered he played pretty well, but he's just not that talented. Early on, they rotated the SS, Harold Jones-Quartey over to him one-on-one. Jones-Quartey is a second year UFA from football powerhouse Findlay with 25 career tackles. He also got one play in the first quarter with Bryce Callahan, another 2nd year UFA, this time from Rice. This occurred when they lined him up in the slot. Callahan is a smallish guy who is their nickle corner. Late in the game, after Glenn was hurt, he lined up across from Deiondre` Hall. Hall was a fourth round pick this year from Northern Iowa. He was probably the most talented of the bunch that he played against, but he is raw as hell. There is a reason he didn't play until they ran out of other bodies. Fuller ate his lunch. Basically, Fuller tore it up against a bunch of guys who wouldn't make the Texans' practice squad. The team is filled with late round picks and UFA's from small schools, little experience, and poor measurables. That's better than getting shut down by a bunch of practice squad guys, but it's a far cry from DeAndre Hopkins making Revis Island throw a temper tantrum last year. Porter is the only guy on the Bears who could sniff the field for the Texans, and he lined up against Hopkins for all but 2 or 3 plays. KC is a better barometer. They have a couple of legit 1st rounders in their secondary, and several guys who were day two picks. The bottom of their roster is rounded out with late round picks, but guys with experience who spent time as starters on other teams. Outside of Porter, I'd take the entire KC roster of DB's over anybody on the Bears.
The speed is going to play against anyone in the league. He has that elite separation ability. As for the hands catching, major props to Sean Ryan. Dude looks like a totally different WR on intermediate routes thus far... in college, his arms/hands were glued to his body.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this. By the third time of me referring to Hopkins as Deandre Johnson on Sunday, my wife was screaming at me because I couldn't seem to get it right.
Will Fuller is already my favorite Texan. Ill make fun of his drops throughout the season when appropriate but I love his game.

Bored at work, watched a YouTube video of a guy on madden who made a team of everyone at 99 speed, acc., and release and 10 everything else versus a team of 10 speed, acc, and release and 99 everything else. The team with speed one. Just thought that was kind of interesting since you can't teach that but you can teach everything else. its nice to finally have it.
That first video by zeeshan2 ( thx for posting btw) is quite stunning. It's like the DB is thinking the 8 yard cushion gives him more time but suddenly realizes Fuller is coming way faster than he anticipates and of course gets blown right by... Impressive .
Treadwell cant even get in the game right now despite being fully healthy. He said he needs to work harder. Pretty nice that our dude is already scoring TDs and has a big role on a team that is already talented at WR.
I want to see the comps between Doctson and Fuller. Doctson is coming off an achilles tear and is progressing slowly. Draft day had people mad at taking Fuller before him while trading a pick to move up a spot. I was one who wanted Doctson but am very happy with Fuller atm with how well he compliments the offense.
Thats not the way I would like to think about it. Hop either plays deserving of a high contract or not, I dont think we are going to say "Sorry Hop, but we are offering you half what you want because we have Fuller now so it doesnt matter." If Hop leaves Fuller is no where near enough.
