BoB was the one who traded Nuk for personal issues between the two. Don't use that as a barometer for what 'the line' is cause that's its own unique and stupid situation.

And there's a very likely chance that they did run that by the medical staff, not all ingredients of what goes in a supplement are always listed on the supplement. I'm not going to bury them, they probably were told that there was nothing in the supplement that would pop on a drug test but it happened. The fact that it happened is very much on brand with the Texans.

    Brian T. Smith?

Lol okay. Not bringing back Fuller or Roby would make the Texans way more inept. How does this clown have a job.

No that's not why. It had nothing to do with salary either.

Billy Bob didn't get along with him, and traded him out of spite to prove "his system" didn't need a guy like Hopkins.

All the other nonsense that B.O.B. and his minions threw out there that you slurped up was just that - nonsense. They were fake excuses to try and justify it.

They will still over pay for him.

Let's put it this way..... this morning there were several reporters and a former front office executive saying that out of the open jobs, the Texans job is the least attractive according to candidates around the league.... that the Lions and Jacksonville spots are viewed as better. The only thing going for the Texans is Watson, but he will cost $40,000,000 and the Texans have no draft picks in round 1 or 2 and players like Fuller will be taking more cap space and last, no one wants to deal with Jack Easterby.

They pointed out that the Lions have the most players ready to win right away and they will let the GM gut the organization. The same with the Jaguars, but they will also have the #1 or #2 pick.

It was too good to be true, him not having an early season ending injury. Really sucks, they were starting to become fun to watch again.

Meh. Side note, interesting to see Keke actually contributing out there.

I don't believe that to be true. Maybe for some, but I don't see how the Lions have a better situation.

All these candidate "reports" are just agents throwing out material.

    Time will tell.

I can tell you this much, no one is going to view Easterby being there as a positive at all.

You still dont seem to see the contradictions. You are hoping the team does the opposite of what it preaches while under the same regime!. Im indifferent moving forward. They will always be juicers. If you have kids what do you tell them? Do you feed them the same BS excuse Fuller sent out knowing damn well its a lie and just a way to save face? Its okay to cheat sometimes?

Winning is great, but it shouldnt come at any expense especially not when the faith in moral fiber is lost. You think a new coach/gm combo wants that headache moving forward?

The "culture" didnt leave with OBrien. They just fired a female PR girl because she was a Biden supporter! You think a couple of dopers are going to sit well with Cal and Jack Osteen?

On the bright side, these two morons have the Texans some extra cap space next year

Our number 3 receiver is a rookie 5th round draft choice, who is coming off of IR and has never played a game in the NFL, and who was a linebacker at an FCS school just a couple years ago. That's who Deshaun Watson has to work with now.

This team needs so much help it's mind numbing. Incompetent doesn't even come close to scratching the surface.

They weren't winning anything this season due to BOB's incompetence anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

I don't disagree, but the Nuk trade was more than just a 'culture difference' between him and the team. That was straight up personal.

Of course it was, but go back to the public comments the team made, the private comments Nuk made and then take into account the "boy scout" image this team has feigned as an overly important aspect of being a Houston Texan.

I dont have alot of sympathy for juicers so it will be hard for me to stay objective. I can get over 'conduct detrimental to the team' issues, making some mistakes in your personal life .. but juicers? Nah they knew. I dont believe for a second they didnt know what was going into their bodies, and by them releasing their statements before the team it just further strengthens my opinion that they arent the kind of players you can really count on and instead of being accountable for their own actions will try to point the finger at everyone but the person who deserved it most - themselves. Just like Patrick Peterson when he got popped for steroids - his whole legacy tarnished and his play level has diminished since the infraction.

I find that.... impossible to believe. GMs/head coaches spend their entire careers desperately looking for a Deshaun Watson. To look at *any* situation likely available in the NFL and view it as better than having Watson already in house, long term (in a division in which he'd be the best QB, BTW), would make me question the sanity/intelligence of that person.

Well, in the case of the Jaguars the new GM/Coach will likely have the #1 or #2 pick in the draft with will mean either Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields and about an additional $32,000 in cap space each year until either of those guys is eligible for an extension. There is no guarantee, but both are very highly viewed prospects. Also, in Jacksonville there isn't going to be Easterby attempting to control the organization or looking over your shoulder. It seemed really odd to me as well until they really went into detail on their position...... they also said that it is possible that someone looks and says they will take the massive cut in cap space but will go with the known commodity in Watson (who hasn't thrown an INT in 6 weeks).

As for the Lions job, I get it, they will let you gut the organization.... but I have never viewed them as "ready to win", but they believe there is a lot of talent that has been poorly managed.

The guy that one of them said may have interest in the Texans is Jim Harbaugh if he is given complete control.... they said he is a huge believer in DeShaun Watson and would want to coach him.

Im down with Jim. Other posters have a problem with his control issues and his assholeness but hell weve bee through that, spun the wheels and have become complete ****. At least with Jim, hed at least put a winning product on the field, that the players seemed to love and I wouldnt mind someone with competence in the NFL slap cal around and tell him to sit down and shut the **** up sometimes. I mean, whats the worse that could happen to this org that hasnt happened already?
