I am confident Francis will be activated but he may not get any PT.

My guess is the Rockets will go with 11 players tomorrow. I will be surprised if Francis is even in uniform.

Activated for what? To walk up and down the aisles selling Miller Lite? I could go for that.

    He sucks and is done.

I don't know if this counts as an update but a on Oct 24, a reader asked Feigan about the status of Francis and said:

So looks like the answer is no.

I wish Steve the best, but at this point I think his greatest contribution to the team is palling around with Yao during practice.

Francis need to step it up...for his own good.

shouldn't he be mature to realise that and not sit on his ass doing nothing and coming up with excuses when hes over 30 years old

I feel that neither of them are fit for the opening game.

theres seems to be a miscommunication with francis' situation (as there always is).

a few weeks ago he was scrimmaging in practices and said it was up to the coach to play him

now he gets a head cold and is apparently "injured and rehabbing" again.

so tell me, what exactly is the deal with francis? maybe his knee flared up again and he really is rehabbing, or maybe the "head cold" was a cover up and the coaches sent him home after they saw he had nothing left.

the guy is only 31 years old...same age as marbury, and one year older than Kobe. you guys talk as if his knee injury was worse than a torn ACL.

Clearly there's more going on here than a 'head cold'. He was ready for full practices and then suddenly that morphed into the 'head cold' and that morphed into he's rehabbing. I wonder if he was injured again. I wish one of the Rockets insiders would throw us a bone here.

Coaches didn't believe Francis was ready.

    We should be more patient.

as much as i love to see him in uniform, he will not be able tomorrow.

His still rehabbing, and his training is limited to drills, not the full match practice.

I remember Francis talking about it taking a year to fully rehab, and it's not been a year yet. I think we can expect him back around the All-star break. It would be great to see if he can contribute, otherwise, free up the roster spot.

he was fully cleared and then as soon as that happened he got sick? i think were missing something, i think his knee flared up or something. well see what they say today if they say anything at all about him.I hate to say it but if steve doesn't play today im losing all hope in "the franchise". I had my hopes up when steve said he was ready like a week ago and it was up to the coaches and now all of a sudden hes rehabbing again.Time to face reality now guys steve is done. END OF THE ROAD.

People just need to forget about Stevie Franchise. He is to the Rockets, nothing more that a heap of flesh with a million dollar contract.

U know what I am starting to think is that Steve is learning that his new will require some serious conditioning to get to the point where he can contribute. In addition he knows that if he is going to comeback he has to position himself to be 100% physically to even get in the rotation. Steve is not trying to kill his career, this is a contract year for him. I would be surprised if he starts full practicing in December
